$6 million renovation revitalizes SpringHill Suites New Orleans Downtown

Hotel near New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center boasts reimagined guest rooms, stylish new breakfast area and more.

NEW ORLEANS – SpringHill Suites New Orleans Downtown/Convention Center has shored up its accommodations for the new year and beyond by recently completing a $6-million renovation project.

The hotel near the Port of New Orleans has undergone a complete transformation so guests can cruise into comfort no matter how long they stay. From the lobby and the guest rooms to the meeting space and the fitness center, visitors will appreciate new furnishings, paint, carpet and equipment that exemplify the hotel's commitment to providing Southern hospitality in a vibrant yet laid-back environment.

Unique architecture and warm colors greet visitors who arrive in the lobby with wood-beam ceilings and exposed brick walls. The refined area encourages lounging or mingling with its ample seating areas. The hotel's friendly team is always available at the front desk, anchored below a raised terrarium of vibrant green plants. The greenery flows from the indoor welcome center to a landscaped outdoor patio with stylish umbrellas, metal tables and chairs and plenty of space to meet with friends and family.

A completely reimagined breakfast area in the lobby boasts muted gray and brown tones with several wall-mounted flat-panel TVs for catching up on the day's news highlights. Stylish bar-height tables blend seamlessly with traditional dining furniture to create a warm and friendly space for delighting in fresh-baked croissants, fresh fruits, golden-brown waffles and eggs made to order. The morning buffet is complimentary for diners staying in the hotel's contemporary accommodations.

Suites were designed using the same palette as the public areas while also offering touches of gold and blue in drapes and artwork. Quarters feature beds topped with luxurious linens and fluffy pillows so guests can get a sound night's sleep after a day of sightseeing or conducting business in The Big Easy. Cozy couches covered in a soft, dark fabric complement the light wood tones in desks, coffee tables and bathroom vanities. Lighted mirrors and white countertops embody a bright, clean feeling in all guest bathrooms.

When it comes to meeting business travelers' needs, the East New Orleans hotel raises the bar in its six restyled event spaces with a total of 5,232 square feet. Each room offers modern AV equipment that inspires productivity amongst the environment's new furnishings and decor. Custom catering options and high-speed Wi-Fi are available.

During downtime, guests can enjoy working out in the hotel's expanded fitness center with cardio equipment and free weights.
