AC Hotels brings European style to Miami Beach with the anticipated April 2015 debut of AC Hotel Miami Beach

The design-led hotel, inspired by the fashion houses of Milan, blends European style and simple lines to create a comfortable atmosphere for guests.

MIAMI – Marriott International, Inc. announced the expected April 2015 opening of AC Hotel Miami Beach on the 2900 block of Collins Avenue, the area that has been grabbing headlines as the trendiest destination in the city. The property, developed in partnership with Miami’s Finvarb Group, will be AC Hotels’ first property in South Florida following the lifestyle brand’s debut in New Orleans and its growing portfolio of over 50 hotels expected to open in the next few years.

The 150-room AC Hotel Miami Beach will bring elegant yet unpretentious style, innovative Beverage & Food programming and locally inspired experiences to guests and locals.

Mid Beach offers the perfect blend of culture, architecture and nightlife that embodies the urban soul of the AC Hotels brand,” said Toni Stoeckl, VP Lifestyle Brands of Marriott International, Inc. “We will create meaningful experiences for guests to connect with this exciting City through distinctive local partnerships with prominent personalities.”

The design-led hotel, inspired by the fashion houses of Milan, blends European style and simple lines to create a comfortable atmosphere for guests. Miami-based Kobi Karp Architecture will bring the vision to life, providing an energetic vibe in the hotel while still encouraging exploration of the city beyond four walls. Guests can expect public spaces outfitted with furnishings and decor in a neutral tone color palette featuring warm greys and charcoals with thoughtfully selected modern artifacts and treasures.

Additionally, AC Hotel Miami Beach’s distinctive B&F program will offer an approachable twist on the traditional hotel bar. The AC Lounge (pictured right) experience will be influenced by the idea of “draft and craft” where guests can work during the day and unwind in the evening with craft beers, wines and cocktails complemented with a selection of small ‘tapas-style’ plates inspired by the brand’s Spanish roots. The AC Culturalist will share insider tips and recommendations to help guests “Feel the City” like a local. A destination for hobnobbing, the vibrant rooftop pool scene with ocean views will complete the experience.

Stoeckl added, “Guests can also expect the brand’s signature open-concept areas with plenty of communal spaces with fully enabled technology solutions to work, connect, explore and socialize.”

The seven story-hotel will include the AC Kitchen, inspired by the European home, which will be open daily for breakfast offering sweet and savory tarts, freshly baked croissants and a selection of artisan cured meats and cheeses. The AC Library will provide a quiet area for guests to use while still being connected. Additional amenities include a fitness center and 1,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. On-site parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, a rooftop pool (pictured left) and beach access round out the hotels offerings.
