Aeromexico and Tesoros de Mexico announce major commercial alliance

Aeromexico, Mexico's largest transcontinental airline and the Tesoros de Mexico Hoteles y Restaurantes Quality Circle announce a major commercial alliance to promote luxury tourism in Mexico.

PUEBLA, MEXICO – Against the backdrop of the Tianguis Turistico tourism conference attended by Federal, State and business representatives, Aeromexico and Tesoros de Mexico Hoteles y Restaurantes (Treasures of Mexico, Hotels and Restaurants) are announcing a major commercial agreement to promote luxury tourism representing the finest hotel service and gastronomy in Mexico through various joint promotion marketing strategies.

The alliance seeks to promote Mexico in Premium National and International markets by promoting the more than 80 establishments participating in the Tesoros de Mexico Hoteles y Restaurantes program, and Aeromexico, Mexico’s leading airline.

The spearhead of this major alliance involves bringing hotels into the Aeromexico Master Plan, travel packages offering air passage and hotel stays, as well as additional services adapted to the needs of each customer.

The combined efforts of these two brands will make it possible to promote the richness of our country’s hotel and restaurant industry, with more than 80 establishments in 10 states – Chiapas, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Morelos, Puebla, Oaxaca, Queretaro and Yucatan –  more than 80 boutique hotels and restaurants with the highest national rating available to national and international tourists, thanks to the ample network of destinations of Mexico’s flagship airline.

Tesoros de Mexico, Hoteles y Restaurantes is a Quality Circle made up of more than 80 boutique hotels and gourmet Mexican restaurants focusing on Premium tourism. The hotels and restaurants comprising the Tesoros de Mexico quality circle are widely recognized among experienced travelers as a hallmark for the promotion of luxury tourism, particularly for those who enjoy savoring unforgettable experiences.  It has come into being to celebrate Mexico as a tourist destination of excellence, and to make the most of our competitive position in tourist preference.

This program has been in existence for 10 years and is headed by the Federal Secretary of Tourism (SECTUR – Secretaria de Turismo Federal), the Tourism Promotion Board (Consejo de Promocion Turistica), and by state governments and hotel and restaurant executives in Chiapas, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Morelos, Oaxaca, Puebla, Queretaro and Yucatan. This represents the best of Mexico’s tourism sector and the vast range of attractions and choices our country has to offer to visitors.

To be certified and become a member of the Tesoros de Mexico brand, and to maintain this status, each year, every establishment must voluntarily undergo approval of more than 500 standards of tourist service endorsed by the Instituto para el Fomento a la Calidad Total, A.C. (Institute for Total Quality Enhancement), an independent certifying agency, as well as an anonymous evaluation by the quality club in each state.

This ensures that, for visitors in search of exclusiveness and excellence in the quality of personalized service, Tesoros de Mexico, Hoteles y Restaurantes offers extraordinary experiences in historic Mexican settings steeped in splendor and refinement.

At hotels and restaurants displaying this emblem of “Tesoros de Mexico, Hoteles y Restaurantes,” our guests will discover Mexico’s Premium tourism offerings for the world.
