Aiguille Grive Chalets Hotel – Les Arcs 1800 opens December 2013

A brand new 4* boutique chalet hotel concept has launched in Les Arcs 1800.

A stylish settlement of Ultra contemporary Alpine chic meets Scandinavian simplicity and comfort, designed by Architects COS. This first Eco-friendly project they have created, lies in the outstanding natural beauty of the Savoie-region, in France, close-by Val d’Isere, Moutiers and Courmayeur. Les Arcs 1800 opens December 2013.

The intimacy of a chalet mixed meets the service and of a hotel
Directly at the foothills of the ski-slopes and a few minutes from the centre of Les Arcs 1800 resort, set in the most breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc, are the  seven Chalets Aiguille Grive, where a combination of home comfort and a 4 * hotel service, take guests from winter through to summer.

True to the beauty of winter, the hotel can only be reached by foot or on skis.  If a late arrival gets you in from Geneva by helicopter, a snowmobile will bring you to the chalet, where the fire-place awaits you.

The hotel is made up of seven chalets boasting 4* superlative service all round. The main “hub” chalet encompasses the main reception, restaurant, bar, lounge and breathtaking sun terraces. The six residential chalets, off the “hub”, are connected to the main building by a covered passage.

Each chalet is designed as an independent residence with 4 , 5, or 6 double rooms each with sitting room, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen to allow self -catering or to accommodate the hotel’s restaurant service. Extra champagne can always chill in the snow…

Eclectic Design
Built in the Avant-Garde style of Charlotte  Perriand, one of the founding designers of Les Arcs 1800, this hotel-chalet concept designed by the Architects COS, who have also been charged with the coordination of the renovation of the RITZ in Paris, combines wood and glass with spectacular results, bringing nature as close to the home as possible. Light, space and breathtaking views are the priority of their design project.

Pierre Marie Couturier’s interior design exudes alpine Scandinavian chic, keeping comfort and family lifestyle in mind, with a creation of cosy interiors, deep sofas, fireplaces and generous convivial dining tables.

Entirely Eco-friendly, this is the first low energy consumption building at an altitude of 1800 meters. Right from the architect’s first drawings, the Chalet Hotel Aiguille Grive was planned to be bioclimatic, putting Nature and the Environment at the heart of its project.

The BBC Effinergie label (BBC 2005), which has been awarded to the concept, is the most demanding distinction granted at this high altitude.

4-star service
Designed for an elegant and convivial life-style, combining sport and simplicity,
attentive staff make you feel at home in your chalet, preparing any special requests. The chalets have all the advantages of being in a hotel, and come with built-in adventures through out the four seasons.
