Ambitious Maxx Royal takes personal service to the max

An award-winning resort hotel on the sun-kissed Turkish Riviera is redefining luxury in Turkey as it seeks to enhance its appeal to the UK holidaymakers.

The five-star Maxx Royal Golf & Spa has undertaken a multi-million pound investment to build on a reputation that has already seen it garner a host of national and international awards for service and facilities since it first began welcoming guests in May 2011.

Opened as an all-inclusive resort in the golf and beach playground of Belek, in the historic and beautiful Antalya region on Turkey’s southern coast, the property is offering privileged services with the principle of “unconditional satisfaction” to guests.

Mehmet Ersoy, CEO and chairman of parent company Etstur, said that opening The Maxx Royal as an all-inclusive resort was just the first phase in establishing it at the top end of hotels not only in Belek but also across Turkey.

“We have been using the all-inclusive aspect to build a legacy and attract brand-loyal international visitors,” he continued. “Guests who come and stay with us realise the emphasis we put on personal service – that is key to everything we do at The Maxx Royal, and it is why our guests keep returning. We already have a loyal following even though we have only been open for two years, and we want to build on that. Our luxury facilities and service ensure that our guests are able to relax in a truly 5 star environment.”

Among facilities at the hotel are five a la carte restaurants offering cuisines from around the world prepared by renowned chefs, in addition to the main restaurant, and the Aven Royal Spa, which features 25 therapy rooms, two Turkish baths, two scrub rooms, two saunas and a range of massage treatments and therapies.

The resort is very family friendly, offering the Cobra Kingdom water park for kids of all ages and extensive dedicated children’s facilities that include the Maxxiland zone catering to youngsters from just one year old up to 17 and dinosaur-themed DinoLand area. Adults can boogie the night away to famous DJs at the popular summer-long Maxx Show Nights, enjoy a visual and audio spectacle at the Royal Horse Lounge or take in spectacular shows at its Circa venue.

Those who want to get sporty can tee it up at the neighbouring Montgomerie Maxx Royal golf course, which will host some of the world’s top golf stars including Tiger Woods when it stages the European Tour-sanctioned Turkish Airlines Open, part of the Race to Dubai, in November.

Tennis fans can try honing their game to emulate Andy Murray’s Wimbledon success on the resort’s four clay and five concrete tennis courts, brushing up on their skills at the Tennis Academy. Footballers are also catered for, with the hotel boasting two FIFA-approved football pitches. The Tune Studio will help keep fitness enthusiasts happy with its cardio and weight work-outs, while the Tune Sport Kids Academy combines exercise with fun for teens and younger children.

There is a choice of swimming pools to take a dip in or relax by and a pristine 300-metre-long Blue Flag beach lapped by the warm, azure Mediterranean Sea, over which villa guests can lay back in pavilions set on a jetty that juts out into the clear waters. Water sports on offer range from water skiing and jet skiing to windsurfing, canoeing or paddling pedaloes.

The Maxx Royal offers guests a choice of accommodation options, among them suites in the main hotel building, Terrace Laguna family suites and villas. It also caters to honeymoon couples, with extra services including Champagne on arrival, scented candles and incense in the bathroom where the filled Jacuzzi is decorated with sprinkled flowers, and dinner and photography at an a la carte restaurant complete with a heart-shaped cake.
