In the first-ever collaboration of its kind, Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort, Elounda – Crete, partners with Venice's legendary The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, to present the Blue Aperitivo this summer season, at one of the most majestic verandas all over the world; Arsenali Lounge Bar, at Blue Palace. The collaboration marries the art of the Italian aperitivo with a heritage and glory that is unsurpassably Hellenic and defined by the resort’s iconic location – a place to enjoy old world atmosphere and uninterrupted views of the Aegean Sea and Spinalonga Island, a UNESCO-nominated World Heritage Site.
The signature aperitivo ritual will take place at a new bar opening this summer, located on the sprawling veranda of the striking architecture of Arsenali Lounge. Whether guests are slipping off the beach or heading to dinner, it will become a routine they will savor every evening during their stay.
Notable cocktails included in the new menu are four signature serves by award winning Bar Manager Cristiano Luciano of The Gritti Palace’s famed Longhi Bar and Riva Lounge: the Bellini cocktail, the Basil-ica cocktail, the Wild Fennel Martini, and the Riva cocktail. On top of that, new, hand-crafted drinks will be created by internationally recognized barman Aristotelis Papadopoulos as guests gather ceremoniously to toast the sunset, along with Champagne and light bites, all set to rhythm of select DJs, creating a 360 sensory experience.
Walking into the Arsenali Lounge Bar, guests are awestruck by an 11-meter-high (36-foot) authentic replica of Heraklion Harbor’s Venetian Arsenal, which the Venetians used to house their vessels. It is an enchanting setting augmented by the sparkling sea beyond and now, will become the most famous sunset ritual in Crete.
