Austria Trend Hotels signs with SiteMinder

Austria Trend Hotels will be sharing their story with hotels that register for the joint webinar with SiteMinder on 10 February 2016.

LONDON, UK – The global hotel industry’s leading cloud platform, SiteMinder, announces it has been appointed to power the online distribution for all properties forming Austria’s largest hotel group, Austria Trend Hotels.

Andreas Berger, General Manager at Austria Trend Hotels, says SiteMinder was selected for the seamless integrations offered by its technology and the global online coverage provided by its partnerships with more than 250 distribution channels.

“Austria now ranks as the sixth most tourist-ready economy in Europe and the twelfth in the world.1 Given the profile and history of our hotel group, it is especially crucial for us – as it is for every hotel trying to compete today – to make sure that local and international travellers are finding us when they are on the Internet and searching for their accommodation,” says Mr Berger.

“SiteMinder’s Channel Manager gives Austria Trend Hotels the increased reach and visibility that we were looking for, and we are excited about the opportunities that are now available to us to further increase the bookings our hotel properties receive and the potential revenue they can make.”

Austria Trend Hotels is owned by Verkehrsburo Group, the leading tourism group in Austria for nearly a century. With an emphasis on four-star city hotels, Austria Trend Hotels offers a total of more than 9,600 rooms in 27 properties located in Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, Linz and Innsbruck.

Speaking on the hotel group’s decision to partner with SiteMinder, Dai Williams, managing director – EMEA at SiteMinder, says: “By leveraging the broad online reach provided by our 250 distribution channel partners, Austria Trend Hotels has the opportunity to tap into all its top source markets, including Germany and Italy which collectively make up one-fifth of the group’s guests.

“Equally, we’re excited the group can now rely on our smart and simple technology to automate their rates, availability and reservations between their property management system, Protel, and their selected online channels.”

Austria Trend Hotels will be sharing their story with hotels that register for the joint webinar with SiteMinder on 10 February 2016.
