Barcelona, star city of the U232 Hotel

The U232 Hotel, which belongs to the Nunez i Navarro hotel group collection, houses a permanent exhibition of photographs of the Barcelona of over 30 years ago, taken by Swedish photographer, long-settled in Barcelona, Maria Espeus. With her very personal view in black-and-white, the artist manages to transport the visitor to the U232 to exceptional moments of a city of the past, from its most urban and vital angles.

These suggestive photographs present a dream-like Barcelona which reveals the most hidden enchantments of the city’s districts, markets and little corners. The Tibidabo amusement park, the Golondrinas (pleasure boats), the palaces and typical shops in the Gothic District or the Raval, are some of the themes that leave their imprint. To be precise, some of these pictures have served as an inspiration to create some of the most exquisite, signature cocktails that can be relished at the hotel bar. Boqueria, Golondrinas, Tibidabo and Rotonda are just a few examples, together with the U232, the star cocktail bearing the hotel name, of a sober nature, elegant and with an underlying sparkle, containing brandy, Martini, gin, strawberries… and a dash of Cava.

The U232 Hotel is ideal for travellers who wish to make the most of their get-away to the city, whether for business or for pleasure, thanks to its location next to the main shopping and business areas, like Paseo de Gracia or Avenida Diagonal. This hotel offers a warm atmosphere in marked British style, sober and with colonial reminiscences.

This 4-star hotel was refurbished in 2005, provides 102 guestrooms in 5 different categories, in addition to a Business Center, lobby area, terrace and fitness room, amongst other amenities.
