DALLAS – Behringer Lodging Group has acquired the Belmont Hotel in the historic Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas. It purchased the asset in a joint venture with Wild Paris Holdings, LLC.
“The Belmont is a beloved hotel that holds a unique position in the Dallas market,” says Jeff Burns of Behringer Lodging Group. “We see an opportunity to further enhance the property while remaining committed to preserving and improving the hotel’s core character, which has been a keystone in the rich history of West Dallas for 70 years.”
Built in 1946 on five acres atop a hill overlooking downtown, the Belmont Hotel has 64 rooms spread across four buildings. Designed by noted architect Charles Dilbeck, the property also features Smoke Restaurant, Clairevista Vitality Club and Bar Belmont.
“We love the history and the story tied to the property, and we’re equally excited about its future,” says Matt Comfort of Behringer Lodging Group.

Plans for the property include immediate and near-term enhancements such as lobby and pool renovations, various structural updates and repairs, and landscaping. While improvements are planned, the work will be respectful of Dilbeck’s vision.
