Benchmark Hospitality International adds Hotel Zelos San Francisco in Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels portfolio

The hotel features 202 luxurious guestrooms and suites, 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, and is also home to the celebrated bar/restaurant, Dirty Habit. 
THE WOODLANDS (HOUSTON), TEXAS – Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, added one of San Francisco’s most prestigious boutique properties, Hotel Zelos San Francisco, to its Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels brand collection. The luxury hotel is owned by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust of Bethesda, Maryland. Alex Cabanas, Benchmark’s president & CEO, made the announcement. 
 
Hotel Zelos is an extraordinary addition to our Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels portfolio,” said Mr. Cabanas. “Centered in the heart of downtown San Francisco, the hotel is perfectly located for both the business and leisure traveler, and is within walking distance of the Moscone Convention Center.” Mr. Cabanas continued with, “As part of the transition, Benchmark currently has plans to retain all of the existing employees. We are not only extremely impressed with the hotel, but also with the caliber of the hospitality team at Hotel Zelos.
 
Hotel Zelos, which takes its new name from the Greek god of dedication and zeal, originally opened in 1999 as Hotel Palomar San Francisco and quickly rose to prominence as one of the city’s top-ranked hotels, known for its cutting-edge design and innovative guest services. The hotel features 202 luxurious guestrooms and suites, 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, and is also home to the celebrated bar/restaurant, Dirty Habit.
