Best Western debuts in the historic heart of Jordan

Best Western International launches its first modern hotel in the historic heart of Jordan, the BEST WESTERN Grand Hotel Madaba.

BANGKOK – Best Western International -The World’s Largest Hotel Chain- has opened its first hotel in Jordan, the BEST WESTERN Grand Hotel Madaba.

Located in the ancient city of Madaba, 30km south of the Jordanian capital Amman and on the doorstep of the country’s most popular tourist sites, the BEST WESTERN Grand Hotel Madaba offers the perfect base from which to explore all the wonders this fascinating, historic country has to offer.

The new modern midscale Best Western hotel offer a total of 70 comfortable air-conditioned guestrooms, each with a balcony to take in the sights and sounds of the city. All rooms come with satellite televisions, minibars and complimentary internet access.

Guests can also benefit from a range of leisure facilities, including a heated outdoor swimming pool and terrace – perfect for cooling off after a day exploring the city – plus a health club, restaurant and lobby lounge. For corporate guests, the hotel also offers a business centre and meeting space for up to 80 people.

Best Western’s first hotel in Jordan marks the latest stage in a major Middle Eastern expansion for the company. So far in 2012, Best Western has opened seven hotels in the region, debuting in four countries – Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Jordan.

“The launch of BEST WESTERN Grand Hotel Madaba marks the start of yet another exciting chapter in our Middle Eastern adventure,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East.

“Jordan has long been one of the most visited countries in the region, and with good reason. With a history dating back thousands of years, an incredible array of historic and cultural attractions, and of course, the dramatic Dead Sea lying close by, I am confident that visitors to BEST WESTERN Grand Hotel Madaba will be another popular addition to our portfolio,” Mr. de Souza added.

Best Western currently operates five hotels in the Middle East region, but this is expected to expand to 23 by 2015, incorporating all three Best Western brands – midscale BEST WESTERN, upscale BEST WESTERN PLUS and luxury BEST WESTERN PREMIER.
