Bloomfield Hills welcomes back The Kingsley Hotel, reimagined

The all-new Kingsley’s creative and vibrant vibe celebrates today’s ideas of stay, work and play, wrapped in an Instagrammable atmosphere that’s energized by edgy original artworks by Yigal Ozeri and Peter Tunney, plus Bloomfield Hills’ only indoor saltwater pool.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MICHIGAN – The reimagined boutique property formerly known as the DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomfield Hills is now The Kingsley. The recently announced name change is also part of a rebranding, bringing the legacy hotel’s all-new yet familiar comforts and elevated guest experience to southeast Michigan.

Originally named The Kingston Inn from 1927 – 1938, the rebranding marks a major milestone for both The Kingsley and the Bloomfield Hills community. Known as the “it” place to be since 1958 and the area’s original social hub on Woodward Ave, the hotel brings together a brimming social scene with modern public and private spaces sparking memorable connections.

Once guests step foot into the property’s airy glass atrium, they are welcomed by arresting colors and modern architecture – wedding-worthy social spaces, lively food & beverage experiences, upscale amenities, intimate fireside nooks, and sophisticated rooms. Reflecting the hotel’s classic aesthetic, guest rooms are adorned with boldly patterned carpet, modern artwork and design touches such as upholstered headboards and midcentury furnishings.

“The Kingsley is leading with high-style hospitality and noteworthy experiences,” said General Manager Thomas Lamb. “Not only are we bringing an incredible guest experience where nostalgia meets modernity, but also standout dining concepts to life to Michigan’s thriving food scene. This rebranding ushers in a new era for The Kingsley, a place to share life’s most meaningful milestones with friends, family and colleagues.”

Nestled inside Michigan’s rolling countryside of historic estates and nature sanctuaries, and just five minutes from the vibrant art community in Birmingham and 20 minutes from downtown Detroit, The Kingsley is ideally located near upscale boutiques and attractions. The hotel itself serves as the perfect host, featuring 12,500 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space. The outdoor courtyard is a stand-out, curated to encourage conversation with intimate social areas. The property’s elevated dining experiences include The Duke Lounge, a premier bourbon, whiskey, and tequila lounge that serves up hand-crafted cocktails and superior wines, Zalman’s on Woodward, an upscale, trendy 50’s style diner designed for the modern day and Joe Muers, serving Michigan’s finest and freshest seafood delicacies in a refined and sophisticated atmosphere for nearly 100 years.
