ATHENS – In celebration of its 20th anniversary this year, Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort in Crete, Greece known for its unrivaled hospitality and haven of elegance, announces an exclusive collaboration with the Greek fashion brand Zeus+Δione. Telling their story through this limited collection of accessories, Blue Palace and Zeus+Δione aim to create a synergy that epitomizes elegance and sophistication.
Blue Palace, part of PHĀEA, a female and family-run collection of landmark Cretan properties, combines bold design, responsible living and original experiences, offering guests unparalleled Greek hospitality with the virtues of care and authenticity at their core. With local heritage and tradition always as the key source of inspiration, Blue Palace continues to redefine the essence of genuine Greek hospitality through meaningful concepts that give prominence to a truer and more timeless Greece. With a rich heritage rooted in mythology and symbolism, Zeus+Δione transcends classical notions of style and design. Through this shared ethos, the Blue Palace x Zeus+Δione partnership brings together the world of luxury hospitality and exquisite fashion while delivering excellence and redefining style.
Blue Palace x Zeus+Δione introduces an exclusive, limited collection that captures the refined aesthetics of both brands, featuring the signature Spathoto motif showcased on a range of accessories such as hats, shoulder bags, bracelets and pouches, in navy and white cotton for both men and women.
Silk production is a significant element of the local history in Soufli. Spathoto, the signature silk fabric at Zeus+Δione, represents tradition and offers a stunning look and an amazing feel to everyone who wears it. The complexity of the production is evident even at a first glance. The fabric’s texture, its beauty, as well as the special pattern with lines that remind us of swords (“spathi” in Greek, hence the name) offer those who wear it a rare privilege: the feeling of becoming part of an ancient practice.
This summer marks 20 years since Blue Palace transformed the hillside between the traditional fishing village of Plaka and the chic port of Elounda into the ultimate place to visit when in Crete, introducing a whole new chapter of hospitality in the destination. As Blue Palace reflects on this significant milestone and embarks on the next chapter of its story, the resort celebrates its rich heritage by offering guests a range of experiences that are designed to indulge and enlighten with the Blue Palace x Zeus+Δione collection.
Commenting on this first-time-ever collaboration for both brands, Agapi and Costantza Sbokou, owners and CEOs of PHĀEA said, “After marking two decades of exceptional hospitality and cherished memories, we are thrilled to partner with Zeus+Δione, who shares our commitment to excellence and attention to detail, while seamlessly blending the finest in hospitality and fashion anchored in Greek heritage and authenticity.”
Marios Schwab, Creative Director of Zeus+Δione remarks, “Contentment and relaxation were an important factor to consider when designing the collection for the Zeus+Δione x Blue Palace collaboration. The deep blue against the white, just like all these elements surrounding us on a Greek holiday, set the tone for the signature Spathoto weave. The tote and pouches are created to hold all the things you want to travel with during your stay, whilst the details on the recycled macramé bracelets made with off-cut fabrics -traces of our 10-year journey- tell stories of myths and folktales.”
The collection is available to purchase at Blue Palace from May 2023.
