Capri Tiberio Palace gears up for 2023 season launching new suites

Hotels also lunches culinary workshops, art and craftmanship activities, wellbeing experiences and destination bespoke tours.

CAPRI – Strengthened by the essence of ‘La Dolce Vita’, the iconic Capri Tiberio Palace announces dates for the awaited 2023 season: opening on the 3rd of April until the 22nd of October 2023. The season launches four new suites and bespoke activities for guests to enhance an unforgettable Caprese experience. The new activities include authentic Neapolitan pizza culinary classes at the recently enrolled Michelin Guide restaurant, immersing into Capri’s heritage of hand-made sandals craftsmanship with Canfora, and deep-diving into Pompei’s rich history.

Following a yearly renovation from the Italian architecture star Giampiero Panepinto, the boutique 54 keys hotel is ready for the 2023 summer season, launching the opening of four new signature suites that will blow minds, presenting the look and feel of Capri:

THE ANACAPRI SUITE took its inspiration from the homonymous highest town on the island. The suite takes the colours and feels of this more laid-back part of the island, such as the feeling that visitors will have when visiting the small town of Anacapri. The Anacapri suite is conceived for those wanting the real feeling of a casa caprese with barrel ceilings and blue painted walls, and hand-painted tiled flooring. Guests staying in this suite will be amazed by its welcoming homely sense.

LA DOLCE VITA SUITE goes up a level taking guests back in a time when a house was a temple of enjoyment and pleasure, with spaces thought to be lived to the full. With its 70smq of indoor beautifully designed areas, such as the “pettineuse” area, to get party ready for an unforgettable caprese night, to the large wardrobe designed for a long staying guest that wants to live Capri for the entire season, this suite opens to a breath-taking angular terrace overlooking the sea and the picturesque Capri town.

THE CAPRI SUITE embeds the true essence of Capri, large spacious and luxurious. This suite is thought for those who seek the best of what the island can offer. Entering the living room, the feel is to enter one of the stylish villas of the island, with the delicate colour scheme of greens and pinks, rattan furniture typical of the blue island and plump cushions scattered on the beautifully upholstered sofas and armchairs. Having the possibility to interconnect to a Terrace Suite, this signature suite can become a two-bedroom apartment and accommodate up to 6 guests. The best of it is though, the incredibly large 20smq terrace, described by the world-famous writer Fitzgerald as “a source of inspiration while he was giving birth to his masterpiece The Great Gatsby”.

THE CHANTECLER SUITE is a homage to one of the most influential personalities that have ever passed by the blue island, Mr. Pietro Capuano, inventor of the universally known Capri Bell, a symbol of the island and take-away gift that each visitor of the island takes back home. The suite was born from a partnership with the jewellery brand Chantecler which takes the name from its founder and takes its inspiration from the incredible work of this iconic man whose imagination has gifted the world with a timeless lucky charm. The suite, the second largest of the hotel with its 95sqm, has objects and decor of the time when Capuano was living on the island, original 50s radios and books, vases, and carpets, all styled to live the Capri of a bygone era.

In detail, the 2023 season launches the following bespoke activities:

  • Design Caprese Luxury: In partnership with Canfora- the historical luxury sandal brand, Capri Tiberio Palace launches a craftsmanship workshop only for the hotel’s guests. The collaboration started in 2022 with the creation of a limited-edition capsule collection. Today, guests of Capri Tiberio Palace are invited to create their own Canfora sandals from the highest-quality Italian leather for great comfort and style. During the 3-hour class, participants can design their own sandals, and emboss them with the wearer’s monogram, in true Canfora fashion.
  • Neapolitan Pizza Class: Stepping into Terrazza Tiberio Restaurant, now part of Michelin Guide, distinctive for the authentic cuisine offered by Executive Chef Nello Siano, the one-hour culinary workshop takes guests on a deep dive into the Neapolitan culture and its strong connection to gastronomy. Guests will use locally sourced ingredients from the hotel’s vegetable garden to prepare a classic Margherita Pizza or their own pizza, supervised by an experienced Pizzaiolo.
  • Master Class at Jacky Bar: Guests are invited to discover all the secrets behind the preparation of the finest cocktails. Spearheaded by the talented team of Jacky Bar, the 45-minute session will introduce the tricks for preparing delicious drinks as a pro. The activity includes welcome drinks, the preparation of three drinks of choice and a farewell gift.
  • Pompei Excursion: For an authentic historical experience, Capri Tiberio Palace offers private guided tours to Pompei and Vesuvius. Visitors can even choose to make their way via helicopter and admire the magnificent views from high above.
  • Elevated Sense of Wellbeing: Taking inspiration from the traditional Bagnya, the rituals are elevated by the traditional scents of the island: Lemon and Fennel. The 2-hour ritual sees guests pick the scent of their choice – Lemon for a balancing experience or Fennel for a relaxing and soothing ritual.
  • Capri Art Experiences: Introducing painting classes, where sessions last 4 hours (2 hrs in-room and 2 hrs outdoor), guests will be guided by a private teacher that will upskill their perspective of capturing the natural beauty of Capri with brush strokes and a canvas.
