Former Hyatt executive brings luxury/lifestyle and wellness depth to asset management and advisory platform.
BOSTON – Officials of CHMWarnick, a leading hotel asset management and owner advisory services company, announced that Marc W. Ellin has joined the firm as managing director.
“A three-decade-plus hospitality industry veteran, Marc brings with him exceptional luxury/lifestyle hotel operational expertise, including the increasingly important wellness segment,” said Chad Crandell, managing director & CEO, CHMWarnick. “As the industry continues to rebound from the negative financial impact of the pandemic, we believe experiential travel segments will be increasingly important to investors looking to reposition and/or rebrand assets as they make strategic decisions regarding the future of their hotels. More than half of CHMWarnick’s development advisory and asset management engagements over the past 24 months has been within the luxury/lifestyle segment. Marc is the ideal candidate to join our team as we continue to advise our clients and develop strategies for optimizing value of this unique class of assets.”
Ellin recently retired from the Hyatt Hotels Corporation after more than thirty years of service. His career at Hyatt comprised numerous, significant roles, including senior vice president of operations, where he was responsible for all full-service managed Hyatt properties across the southern United States. Prior to that, he held such positions as global head of Miraval Group and Exhale, Hyatt’s best-in-class wellness brands. He also was senior vice president of operations for Hyatt’s luxury and lifestyle hotels across the United States and Canada, including Park Hyatt, Andaz, Hyatt Centric and the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. He previously oversaw several other geographical regions as well. In addition, Ellin served in numerous vice president/managing director and general manager positions, including Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort, Grand Hyatt Washington, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort, Grand Hyatt San Francisco, Park Hyatt Chicago and Hyatt Regency O’Hare. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Maui Jim Sunglasses and the Advisory Board of Alpenglow Investment Partners.
