Choice Hotels Europe franchises nearly 500 hotels across Europe that are either open or under development.
Choice Hotels, the company behind the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands in Europe and part of Choice Hotels International, announced that it has awarded Quality Hotel Boldon, near Sunderland, it’s prestigious European Quality Hotel of the Year, recognising its outstanding customer service, operational superiority and guest satisfaction scores.
“Capturing the European Hotel of the Year award highlights a property’s commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence,” said Mark Pearce, senior vice president, international division, for Choice Hotels.
Nicole Vanzie, General Manager, Quality Hotel Boldon said, “We are thrilled to have been recognised as the leading Quality hotel in Europe. The combination of our polished, contemporary rooms with our high TripAdvisor scores are a testament to our management and staff’s dedication to service, and to making guests feel like they are at home.”
Also recognised were Comfort Inn Kings Cross – St Pancras, named “UK Comfort Hotel of the Year”; and Clarion Collection Hotel St Albans City Centre, named “UK Clarion Hotel of the Year”. Both were judged to be the best Clarion and Comfort hotels operating throughout the UK in 2015. The winners were selected by reviewing each franchised property’s guest satisfaction and cleanliness scores and by demonstrating consistent brand performance.
Choice Hotels Europe has also awarded “European General Manager of the Year” to Amir Mousavi of Comfort Inn Arundel. General Manager award winners are selected from nominations by their direct supervisors and owners at the franchised hotels, in response to specific questions relating to their work and collaboration with the Choice Hotels team and brands.
Pearce added, “Well done to Amir for being recognised for his great effort in upholding brand standards and willingness to share best practices with other Choice brand hotels.”
