Choice partners with Uber, Tim Horton for loyalty program

Loyalty Program increases business travel perks following redesign of member benefits.

ROCKVILLE, MD. – Choice Privileges, the guest-loyalty program for Choice Hotels International, Inc., announced that it has added a series of new partners to its midweek travel "Your Extras" benefit. In the U.S Choice Privileges members will now have the opportunity to earn Uber rides. In addition, Choice Privileges expanded local earning partners in Canada, where Canadian members may elect to earn additional, instant rewards from Amazon.ca and Tim Hortons.

As part of its program redesign, Choice Privileges launched the new "Your Extras" benefit that offers weekday travelers an extra, instant reward delivered right at check in. Members with a qualifying stay that includes one weekday night (any night Sunday – Thursday) can select instant rewards that include gas savings at Shell, credit at Amazon and Uber, or extra points and airline miles. "Your Extras" benefit options vary from U.S., Canadian and International Choice Hotels locations.

"No matter if you are staying one or a hundred and one times a year, Choice Privileges is the faster way to getting the rewards travelers deserve," said Jamie Russo, vice president, loyalty programs at Choice Hotels International. "We have been very happy with how our redesigned program has helped Choice Privileges to grow, and we look forward to introducing new creative ways our members – particularly those travelling on business – are rewarded for staying with Choice."

Choice rolled out a series of major changes to its loyalty program in February, bringing greater and faster value to its growing contingency of 25 million Choice Privileges members.
