Cite Partners inks big deal for Booking.com to expand by 37 percent

Booking.com is increasing its presence in Orlando and plans to hire more than 200 new employees.

ORLANDO, FLA. – Cite Partners, a Central Florida commercial real estate firm, has brokered a deal for Booking.com that will see the company’s operations in Orlando grow by 37 percent. Booking.com is the world’s number one accommodation site and is headquartered in Amsterdam, but has customer care centers in the United States in Orlando, Seattle and Grand Rapids. The company’s new deal with Cite Partners will add an additional 17,000 square feet to its existing 45,000 square foot office in SouthPark Center – making Booking.com’s Orlando location its largest office outside of its headquarters.

“We first decided to open up a customer-service center in Orlando three years ago and we’ve grown every year since,” said Bas van Ham, Senior Project Manager of Real Estate for Booking.com. “The team at Cite Partners has been outstanding at facilitating this recent deal for us and we’re eager to open up our expanded offices soon.”

Construction for the build out of Booking.com’s Orlando office is complete. The expansion of the company is expected to add more than 200 jobs to Orlando’s local economy, most of which will be customer service-focused.

“It’s been really exciting to be a part of this history-making deal for Central Florida,” said Jamie Barati, Managing Director, Principal at Cite Partners. “We’ve seen more and more companies coming to and expanding within the southwest submarket of Orlando because of its supply of modern class-A, corporate park office space and proximity to I-4, the Florida Turnpike, the Beachline and the Orlando International Airport.”

The Cite Partners team of Jamie Barati, SIOR & CCIM, and John Worrell, CCIM, represented Booking.com in the transaction, and Scott Bell and Phil Marchese of Flagler Development represented the Landlord for this transaction within SouthPark Center.
