COVINGTON, KY. – Commonwealth Hotels LLC, announced that Volker "VW" Wellmann, a native of Germany, has been appointed as the hotel's General Manager as of August 2018.
Volker's 35 years of Service and Hospitality industry experience includes Hotel Management of Select, as well as Full-Service, Branded, Boutique and Convention properties throughout the U.S. A graduate of Bradley University, who also attended the University of Madrid in Spain and Inlingua in Verona Italy, Volker resides in Northern Kentucky with his wife of 25 years and 15-year old daughter, while his son is attending the University of Louisville.
Having recently retired from a senior leadership position with a Fortune 200 service company, Volker commented that: "I am very excited about continuing my hospitality career at such a beautiful property in the city that I have come to love and appreciate for its diverse entertainment venues as well as competitive business and visitor-friendly climate."
Commonwealth Hotels, LLC. was founded in 1986 and is a proven partner in providing hotel development and management services. The company has extensive experience managing premium branded full service and select service hotels.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
