Concierge Auctions announces auction of largest privately held island in the Bahamas

A jet setter's paradise, the island features a rare landing strip with its own airport code.

EXUMA, BAHAMAS – Concierge Auctions, a luxury real estate auction firm serving high net-worth individuals worldwide, announced the auction of Innocence Island, the largest privately held island in the Bahamas.

Originally offered for $55m., the island will be auctioned on May 15th at Trump SoHo New York. The property will sell to the highest bidder at or above a $10m. reserve in cooperation with George Damianos of Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty. Located in the Bahamas’ exclusive Exuma chain of islands, Innocence Island features a spectacular residence, long stretches of beach, and 681 acres of native fruit trees, tropical foliage, and terraced hills.

“The Exuma islands offer privacy, seclusion, and the most beautiful scenery the Bahamas has to offer. That’s why some of the world’s most renowned celebrities like Johnny Depp, Aga Khan, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill own property here,” said Damianos, owner of the top-producing luxury real estate brokerage in the Bahamas. “Still, when we say that Innocence Island is ‘one-of-a-kind,’ we mean quite literally that its size and splendor are unmatched.”

Innocence Island is the perfect destination for individuals who enjoy traveling in comfort by private aircraft; the island’s airstrip is one of the only private runways in the Bahamas that is permitted with its own pilot code (MYEY). While easily accessible by air and completely secluded, Innocence Island is conveniently situated just minutes away from the main island of Little Exuma by boat, making day excursions a favorite pastime of guests who seek to explore the cultural gems the Bahamas has to offer.

The island’s living accommodations are designed with the highest standards of comfort and relaxation in mind. The 3,000-square-foot main house, featuring six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms, is elevated atop one of the highest points on the island and delivers full panoramic views. A separate hillside bungalow with gym and meditation deck overlooking the bay is a favorite vantage point for guests wishing to take in the island’s nightly pink and golden sunsets.

“Concierge Auctions is very proud to continue its international growth with this auction of Innocence Island,” said Laura Brady, Founder and President of Concierge Auctions. “This sale will further demonstrate that our auction solution is undoubtedly the smartest way to buy and sell the world’s finest properties.”

In its history, only four individuals have owned Innocence Island. Visitors can enjoy the boundless activities the island has to offer, such as deep sea fishing, bone fishing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding in the clear blue waters off the island’s six white sand beaches and secluded bays, as well as hiking, jogging, and bird watching along its 15 miles of nature trails.

“Every time I descend upon Innocence Island, I relish hearing the pilot announce our approach by calling out the island’s airport code, MYEY. I sit back, smile, and await the privacy and relaxation to come,” stated the seller.

The auction of Innocence Island will be held live on May 15th at Trump SoHo New York. Attendance will be by RSVP only, and bidders must pre-register.
