Corinthia Hotel London celebrates TripAdvisor Excellence Awards

Corinthia Hotel London is delighted to receive the TripAdvisor Excellence Award for the Corinthia Hotel London property, The Lobby Lounge, its British restaurant The Northall and modern Italian Massimo Restaurant and Oyster Bar.

Ideally positioned on the River Thames and in the heart of cultural London, the hotel is just minutes from Trafalgar Square and moments from Covent Garden, the Southbank, and Westminster Abbey, making it the perfect home for leisure tourists. In addition the hotel offers a pre-bookable 24 hour check-in and out policy and complimentary WiFi on a high speed 1Gb broadband connection that allows guests to relax or work with ease. The hotel’s stunning interiors, which include original Victorian design features, gives a dramatic backdrop to any visit, whether a lunch meeting or a week long stay.

The first port of call for many of Corinthia London’s guests, The Lobby Lounge is situated at the heart of hotel providing a sanctuary away from the bustle of the city and a tranquil ambiance for guests. The Lobby Lounge is the perfect meeting place for friends and colleagues alike with comfortable and spacious seating and all day dining. Guests come to enjoy the quintessential Afternoon Tea, served under the Lobby Lounge’s ‘Full Moon’ chandelier, produced by prestigious French crystal manufacturer Baccarat.

Seasonal specialties are often added to The Lobby Lounge menu, currently the Summer Social Afternoon Tea celebrates Britain’s best loved Summer pastimes, with treats such as The Picnic Basket strawberry tart and the Summer Meadow Pimms jelly. The Summer Social Afternoon Tea is available from 8th July 2013 throughout the summer.

The hotel’s two distinct restaurants ensure guests a wide choice of cuisine throughout the day at Corinthia London.

The Northall provides all day dining with a seasonal British menu overseen by Executive Chef Garry Hollihead. Garry has gone to great lengths to source unique and wholesome ingredients from artisan producers: beef from Duke of Buccleuch in Scotland, duck from Reggie Johnson in Lancashire, and the freshest fish from Matthew Stevens in Cornwall.

This light and airy 185 cover restaurant, designed by GA Design International, is set across four stunning and distinct areas, offering a Private Dining Room for intimate dinners. The Northall encapsulates the best of British hospitality -both past and present– with a comfortable and relaxed eating environment, whilst offering views over Whitehall Gardens towards the River Thames.

Massimo Restaurant and Oyster Bar, is open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday, and provides a striking yet informal setting for its modern Italian menu. At the Oyster Bar, guests can enjoy oysters, crudo and a glass of Prosecco for a pre-dinner aperitivo. The main menu includes dishes such as risotto with asparagus, marjoram and lemon, and fillet of hake with tomatoes and black olives. For the ultimate in dining luxury Massimo Restaurant has a Private Dining Room complete with its own chef’s station.

Designed by David Collins Studio Massimo Restaurant and Oyster Bar is inspired by the late Victorian architecture of the hotel and mixes classical architectural references with  Mediterranean styling. The hotel’s original Corinthian columns, which are dramatically striped in white and warm grey, frame the room and streamline views to the Oyster bar emphasizing it as the focal point.
