Armando D’Alessandro and Mike Waters have been named project managers in the company’s design and construction division. D’Alessandro is based in Montreal, while Waters works at the company’s Toronto office.

With 24 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors, D’Alessandro has held positions with many Montreal-area companies, including Metafor Construction, as president, and Les Entrepreneurs Tri-Sant Inc., Le Groupe Mondico and Laboratoire Solitech, Inc., as director of operations. However, his interest in the discipline was initially triggered by a year-long assignment on the massive hydroelectric power project in Northern Quebec, the James Bay Project. D’Alessandro holds a bachelor of engineering degree from Concordia University.

Formerly a project manager with Muskoka Masons, Waters comes to Delta Hotels with over 20 years’ experience in the construction and restoration business. He has also worked for Frendel Kitchens Limited and The Boyz Brickworks, Ontario companies that specialize in commercial and residential projects.

Melanie Fligg has joined corporate office in the newly created position of manager of corporate development. Most recently with GE Capital Solutions, for two and a half years, Fligg brings solid experience in sales, financial analysis and deal structuring in the asset-based lending industry. Fligg holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Wilfred Laurier University.

Ben Misener has transferred from Delta Calgary Airport to become manager of rooms support, a new position within Delta’s operations division. Over his nine-year career, Misener has held a variety of positions with both Delta Hotels and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, largely in operations and front office in Alberta, and with Best Western. He played a key role in the transitions teams struck for Delta’s newest additions in Banff and Calgary. The Ottawa native is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Hotel and Restaurant Management Program.
