On February 1st, 2020, 29-year-old Dennis Kjer Nissen took up the position of Hotel Manager at Zleep Hotels’ newest hotel in Skejby in northern Aarhus.
What was once a big dream is today reality. After eight years in the fast-growing Danish hotel chain, Zleep Hotels, Dennis Kjer Nissen manages to achieve his career's biggest "victory" with a new position as Hotel Manager due to an indomitable work ethic and ambitious goals for the future.
A hungry gentleman
On February 1st, 2020, 29-year-old Dennis Kjer Nissen took up the position of Hotel Manager at Zleep Hotels' newest hotel in Skejby in northern Aarhus. He describes himself as a hungry gentleman ready to face new challenges: “I'm looking forward to proving my worth. I am a hungry gentleman and Aarhus is on the menu. The hotel and its location have a lot to offer, regardless of the length of the stay: Central location in Business Park Skejby, fitness room, lobby bar, breakfast area, free parking and a location close to both the light rail and Aarhus University Hospital. In addition, the hotel sparkles, and all interior is of high quality,” says Dennis Kjer Nissen, who at the same time becomes the youngest Hotel Manager at Zleep Hotels.
Zleep Hotel Aarhus Skejby opened its doors on June 4th, 2019 and contains a total of 100 rooms.
From receptionist to Hotel Manager
The hotel career began in 2012, when Dennis Kjer was offered the position of full-time receptionist at the then Zleep Hotel Astoria Copenhagen. Subsequently, several internal career opportunities arose, which initially resulted in a position in the hotel chain's finance department: “Due to my great curiosity and striving to learn, I have gradually become acquainted with many different areas of responsibility in hotel management. First I was a receptionist, then I became a trainee in the finance department, hereafter an Account Assistant and then Account Manager, and this summer I became Front Office Manager at Zleep Hotel Aarhus Viby, and now I have found my niche as Hotel Manager at Zleep Hotel Aarhus Skejby. I am extremely proud that Zleep has chosen me, and I cannot wait to unleash the hotel's great potential together with the rest of the team,” says the new, ambitious Hotel Manager.
An admirable versatility
According to the hotel chain's Director of Operations, Jytte Vestergaard, it is with good reason that precisely Dennis Kjer has been chosen as the new Hotel Manager. In addition to his many years of Zleep experience, he possesses admirable skills: "With an admirable versatility, a need to always do his utmost and a sympathetic approach to leadership, I'm sure Dennis will handle the job brilliantly – just as he has done many times before," says Jytte Vestergaard.
