ORLANDO, FLA. – Digitec Interactive and Hilton Worldwide win Brandon-Hall Gold Excellence in Learning Award for Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program.

The Brandon-Hall Excellence in Learning Awards were recently announced, and the Digital Key Training won the Gold Brandon-Hall Award for Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development.

In 2015, Hilton Worldwide rolled out a new feature that allowed their guests to use their smartphones as a "digital key" to access their rooms and other areas within the hotel. Hilton Worldwide was the first to offer this technology, at scale.

Because the technology affected so many roles within the hotel, Hilton Worldwide needed to train more than 80,000 hotel team members on the digital key and the process changes around guest service and hospitality. Digitec worked with Hilton Worldwide to design and create a highly interactive gamification learning experience.

At last report, there have been over 10,000 course completions, with learner average feedback scores of 4.33 out of a possible 5.

Now entering its 22nd year, the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program is the most prestigious awards program in the industry. Often called the "Academy Awards" by Learning, Talent and Business Executives, the program was one of the first of its kind in the learning industry, which was pioneered in 1994.

The Excellence Awards recognize the best organizations that have successfully deployed programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable results. The program attracts entrants from leading corporations around the world.
