New and renovated facilities for 2016 unveiled at grand opening event.

ORANJESTAD, ARUBA – On Thursday evening, January 14, 2016, the Divi Aruba All Inclusive hosted key members of the Aruba Tourism Industry at a grand opening and ribbon cutting event to celebrate the property’s new developments for 2016. Divi Aruba’s new pool view building and new Pure Lime Mexican Restaurant were officially introduced and renovations to the front entrance and lobby were unveiled to kick off the New Year.

“We are extremely excited to offer these new additions to our guests,” said Alex Nieuwmeyer, Managing Director, Divi Resorts Aruba. “The Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives is not only about quantity with its 501 rooms, ten restaurants and seven bars, but more about continuously looking to increase and upgrade the quality of our product and services. The properties will continue to strive to offer visitors an unforgettable vacation experience with our accommodations, cuisine and overall hospitality.”

Mr. Nieuwmeyer further stated, “I would like to thank Mr. Otmar Oduber, Minister of Tourism, Transport, Primary Sector and Culture; Mrs. Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, Director of Aruba Tourism Authority; and Mr. Jim Hepple, President of Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association (AHATA) for participating in the ribbon cutting. Also, Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives would like to thank all of the developers and staff for their tremendous effort and dedication to making these new renovations a success.”

The two step-down pools each feature floating lounge chairs and cabanas. The entire structure was constructed as a “green” building in accordance with sustainable practices. It is well insulated and equipped with solar heaters, sun reflecting sliding doors and LED lighting to keep the rooms cool and electricity consumption low.

Located at the Divi Aruba, the Pure Lime restaurant marks the 10th dining option for the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba sister properties and is the first full service Mexican restaurant in Aruba. It features an open kitchen concept, with the menu showcasing a variety of authentic Mexican dishes and signature drinks. Ms. Lyssette Van Der Biezen serves as the Executive Chef.
