In keeping with the spirit of renewal, the Durban Sands board of directors made a progressive decision to change the name of Durban Sands to 10 South. “The name was taken from the resorts physical street number and its position south along the promenade. A longstanding icon within the city, with definitive architectural features the resort’s design aesthetic is a blend of modern urban chic. The transformation of the Durban beachfront into a Mecca for holidaymakers, which rivals some of the top seaside city locations, has promoted us to invest in this resort. The name change gives the resort a new perspective and complements the design,” said Johann Jordaan, Managing Director of First Resorts.
