The Elaf Group, a SEDCO Holding Group company and a leading provider of travel, tourism and hospitality services, hosted a special meeting with His Excellency Hisham Zazou, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism at the Elaf Jeddah Hotel, Red Sea Mall to discuss ways on how to reinforce tourism for both Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). On hand to welcome Minister Zazou were Elaf senior officials like Mohammad Bin Mahfouz VP Travel & Tourism, Abdullah Bakri VP Hotels and Jawaid Abdul Hameed VP Marketing were present while the Elaf team was headed by Chief Operating Officer (COO) Asim Abdullah Danish.

During the meeting, both parties talked on how to increase two-way tourism for Elaf customers in Egypt and KSA. The Egyptian delegation encouraged the Elaf Group to promote Sharm El Sheikh, a city situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula and along the coastal strip of the Red Sea in Egypt, to its customers visiting the country. Lastly, the two parties also expressed intentions to explore possible investment and partnership opportunities that would be beneficial to Egypt and KSA.

Asim Danish (COO) of Elaf Group, said: “We are pleased to have hosted this special meeting with Egyptian Tourism Minister, His Excellency Hisham Zazou and his delegation. We are confident that today’s meeting will later result in stronger ties between Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, especially in the move to promote Egypt as a key tourist destination and to position Elaf Hotels as a highly preferred venue for stay by visiting tourists. We look forward to working closely with Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and help in developing their tourism industry.”
