Eurocamp expands presence in Croatia with acquisition of Tour Operator

European Camping Group expands in Croatia and France, acquiring Standard and properties, increasing Eurocamp’s portfolio due to rising visitor numbers.

Eurocamp owner European Camping Group (ECG) has expanded its presence in Croatia with the acquisition of tour operator, Standard, after the country saw a record number of visitors in 2023.

This trend has continued into 2024, with Croatia seeing an over 40% increase in holiday bookings by UK customers year-on-year. The deal sees Eurocamp add 180 new holiday homes to their catalogue across 4 holiday parcs, increasing their capacity with existing partners Lanterna Premium Camping Resort, Park Umag and Brioni Sunny Camping on the Istrian coast, as well as the Kastanija campsite in Novigrad – a new addition to their portfolio for 2024.

The acquisitions are part of ECG’s dynamic growth strategy, which has seen it increase its number of parcs to over 400 across 11 European countries.

In addition to the Croatia expansion, Eurocamp has expanded its offering in the Vendée in France, after acquiring 4-star Camping Sol A Gogo.

Facing the Atlantic Ocean and direct access to the beach, it extends over 3.5 hectares and offers 191 pitches.  The family parc which boasts top-quality facilities and service, will be integrated under the Marvilla Parks brand for the 2025 season. This acquisition strengthens Eurocamp’s presence in one of France’s most popular camping destinations, which serves an international clientele including British, Dutch, Belgian and German visitors.
