First worldwide certification for Metropolitan Hotel

The Metropolitan Hotel of Chandris Hotels & Resorts, is the first hotel in the world to be certified by TUV Rheinland as a Medical Tourism Friendly Hotel (MTFH).

The Metropolitan Hotel in Athens is certified in EQ-FAST according to the specifications of Eurocode 8 for the seismic vulnerability and safety of the buildings.

The awarding ceremony was held at the Metropolitan Hotel, during which the “MTFH” requirements were presented to the international tourism market.

The event was honored by the presence of Mrs. Dora Bakoyanni, the Mayor of Paleo Faliro Mr. Dionysis Chatzidakis, the President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels Mr. George Tsakiris, the Chairman of the Hellenic Private Hospitals Association Mr. Andreas Kartapanis, the CEO of TEMOS International Mrs. Claudia Mika, the responsible of tourism and leisure of TUV Rheinland Group Mr. Olaf Seiche, the CEO of TUV Rheinland Hellas Mr. George Mylonakis, the Director of TEMOS Hellas Mrs. Angeliki Katsapi and the management of Chandris Hotels and Resorts.

The “MTFH” certification recognizes the hotel’s ability to manage effectively both medical tourists and international visitors who may have health problems.

The application of the management system “MTFH” as well as ISO quality systems with which the hotel is certified, guarantee the high level services proving the company’s commitment and reliability towards its customers

The Metropolitan Hotel is ideally located in front of the Faliron New Olympic Coastal Park, just 10 minutes from the port of Piraeus and the centre of Athens. Features 374 guest rooms and suites, 10 fully equipped conference rooms, gourmet restaurants, gym, spa, outdoor pool and other facilities, while providing services that make the visitor’s stay pleasant and comfortable.
