FORESTIS announces the exclusive FORESTIS Villa, a five-star mountain retreat, offering tailored luxury services and breathtaking views, opening December 1, 2024.
FORESTIS, the five-star luxury mountain retreat, has announced the completion of the new FORESTIS Villa available only for exclusive hire from the 1st December 2024.
The secluded retreat is located just metres from FORESTIS on the southern slope of the Plose mountain, 1800 metres above sea level. Offering absolute privacy with a tailored approach to service, the villa can host up to ten guests and is complete with its own spa and wine cellar, also with a private chef and personal concierge at guests’ disposal.
Originally built as a doctor’s residence in 1912 but left unused for decades, FORESTIS owners Teresa and Stefan Hinteregger together with architect Armin Sader, aimed to restore the historical building to its original character. Now, it stands proudly as a private hideaway that exudes sustainable luxury, simplistic solitude and historical charm.
All the structural elements including beams, floors, furniture, windows and doors were restored or faithfully recreated by hand. With its carved ornaments, large loggias, stone plinth and wooden façades, the villa pays homage to the tradition of Alpine villa architecture influenced by European Art Nouveau.
Offering breathtaking views of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, the villa follows the same minimalist, biophilic design principles as FORESTIS. The natural materials including wood from the forest, regional stone, glass, sand and lime plaster – the elements used to build the house a century before – are complemented by its nature-inspired interiors and warm colour palette.
A generous 1,200 m² of living space is spread over three floors with a cosy living room fitted with a feature fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen, cinema room and event room for intimate celebrations. There are five elegantly designed bedrooms each with individually crafted en-suite bedrooms, whilst the stone cellar houses the sophisticated wine cellar.
Like FORESTIS, the 400m² spa is inspired by the natural teachings of the Celtic druids, also with expansive views of mountain vistas. It features a spa suite for two, rain shower, Finnish sauna and steam bath, a relaxation room with a fireplace, a large heated indoor-outdoor pool and a fitness room with Technogym equipment.
Surrounding the FORESTIS Villa is a generous garden area fitted with an outdoor kitchen, pergola and herb garden, with a fireplace and lounge area for warm evening gatherings.
The opening of the FORESTIS Villa is the second announcement in a series of extensive renovation projects, including a new wine cellar, garden restaurant and spa treatment rooms.
