G6 Hospitality announces Franchise Award winners at Annual Brand Convention

G6 honors top performers for excellence in guest care and renovations.

BOCA RATON, FLA. – G6 Hospitality, known for its iconic economy lodging brands, Motel 6 and Studio 6 in the U.S. and Canada, is hosting its annual franchise convention at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Florida, where franchisees will have the opportunity to attend specialized business sessions and seminars led by a unique line up of recognized speakers and industry experts.

The week-long event kicked off with a celebratory dinner on Monday, September 28, where Dean Savas, Executive Vice President of Franchise and International Development, announced the Franchisee of the Year Award, recognizing a franchise for the iconic brand that excelled in operational performance, particularly in the areas of RevPAR, quality and guest satisfaction.

The 2015 Franchisee of the Year winner was:

In addition to the Franchisee of the Year Award, G6 Hospitality acknowledged other outstanding franchisees in the following categories.

At the ceremony, Jim Amorosia, G6 Hospitality President and Chief Executive Officer, addressed the attendees and discussed their current expansion strategy, stating, “Growth has been and will continue to be the cornerstone of our business strategy. In 2016, we will enter new markets, innovate new products and services, and find ways to offer more compelling customer value propositions to meet the needs of the modern travelers.”

Accordingly, G6’s brands have significantly outperformed the economy segment in RevPAR while occupancy has been increasing for the past twelve months and ADR for the past two years.

“Our iconic brands are committed to continuous improvement on our execution, which we will achieve through our sustained strategic growth, our nationwide renovation program, and our evolving digital strategy,” said Amorosia.

Since it was acquired by Blackstone Group in October 2012, G6 has heavily focused on growth and expansion of its network through franchise relations, improvements within its digital ecosystem, and an aggressive renovation plan, which features an all-new, award-winning “Phoenix” room design that is not only more aesthetic, but also more functional and energy efficient.

The annual brand convention runs from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1, 2015, and features renowned keynote speakers discussing topics such as speed leading, realizing real growth and more.
