G6 Hospitality partners with HotelKey to deploy state-of-the-art property management system

Cloud-based property management system utilizes technology innovation to enhance guest check-in experience.

DALLAS – G6 Hospitality LLC, the parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in the U.S. and Canada and Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 in Latin America, today announced a new partnership with the client-focused technology company, HotelKey. As part of this agreement, G6 Hospitality is rolling out the new property management system (PMS) at nearly 700 Motel 6 and Studio 6 locations to-date, and is on-track to convert the brand's entire North America portfolio of more than 1,400 company-owned and franchised locations by September 2017.

HotelKey features tablet-compatible property management software that allows hotel operators to welcome guests through a simple cloud-based application, while improving the front desk appearance by eliminating unnecessary clutter and devices. The HotelKey mobile platform offers user-friendly, touch-screen technology to support every aspect of hotel management through the core Frontdesk PMS application. With HotelKey, there will be the opportunity for Motel 6 and Studio 6 guests to receive their receipt via email upon check in, which will cut down the company's environmental footprint.

"At G6 Hospitality, we strive to provide our guests with convenient quality service from the moment they arrive, and that means having a reliable and easy-to-use property management system in place," said Jessie Burgess, Executive Vice President and CIO at G6 Hospitality LLC. "And the benefits of HotelKey will also positively impact our franchisees. HotelKey creates the flexibility for Motel 6 and Studio 6 franchisees to effectively manage their property from any device, helping to streamline their operations across the board and most importantly, enhancing the guest experience."

Since its acquisition by Blackstone in 2012, G6 Hospitality has been undergoing a complete technology overhaul of its platforms, processes and systems to support its network of more than 1,400 corporate-owned and franchisee properties, and HotelKey is another core component of this transformation.

"HotelKey is committed to building state of the art products for the hospitality industry, and our partnership with G6 Hospitality provides a robust next generation mobile property management software to support the brand's fast-growing global franchise community," said Aditya Thyagarajan, Co-Founder and President at HotelKey. "We believe in growing with our enterprise partners at G6 Hospitality to provide effective solutions, and look forward to enhancing their corporate and franchise properties throughout North America and beyond."

Fareed Ahmad, Co-Founder and CEO at HotelKey added: "Our innovative suite of products solve the most complex challenges in the hospitality industry with a combination of simple-to-use mobile-first native apps and cloud-based services to run all of the hotels operations on both iOS and Android devices.

"HotelKey is easy to use and gives the lobby a modern look while helping us welcome guests in a quick and efficient manner," said Manish Patel, a Los Angeles based Owner and Operator of multiple independent and franchise hotels. "We are very happy to see G6 Hospitality offering owners this next generation property management system."

As these new program enhancements debut at corporate and franchise locations in the U.S. and Canada, G6 Hospitality will continue its global implementation of the HotelKey property management system into 2018, with an immediate focus on Latin America and Indian territories.
