G6 Hospitality tallies two new marketing awards for its Mexico marketing campaign

The iconic brand’s Mexico promotion awarded Best Graphic Campaign under two categories at the Ibero-American Festival of Promotions and Events 2016.

DALLAS – G6 Hospitality, a top hotel management company known for its iconic economy lodging brands, Motel 6 and Studio 6 in the U.S. and Canada, and Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 brands in Latin America, rounded up a successful 2016 by winning two more prestigious awards for its Mexico campaign. The promotional campaign, launched to introduce the brands to the new market, was recognized as the "Best Graphic Campaign" in two different categories at the Ibero-American Festival of Promotions & Events (FIP) that was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in December 2016.

The campaign, part of the company's strategic communications plan for Latin America, was launched across Mexico in March 2016 in partnership with Primer Nivel Group, an integrated communications agency based in Mexico City, with the main objective of increasing brand awareness. Brand messaging was successfully executed within a short period of time as Hotel 6 was ranked top four most highly recalled hotel brands in the Bajio area in Mexico. Additionally, the campaign tripled the brand's exposure on social media, achieving a nearly 26 percent increase in reach and coverage in the region.

"We developed this unique marketing program not only to introduce our brands – Hotel 6 and Estudio 6- to the new markets, but also to bring our lodging offerings to the region with a simple and straightforward message: everything you need, nothing you don't," said Lance Miceli, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of G6 Hospitality. "We are very pleased with the accolades the campaign has received in the new markets. These awards are a demonstration of the talent and expertise of our teams, and in 2017 we will continue to work diligently to create messages that will resonate with the needs and wants of the travelers in the region."

The Ibero-American Festival of Promotions & Events (FIP) is an international event that analyzes and recognizes the best creative ideas in Ibero-America. This recognition is divided into specific categories such as, Promotional Marketing, Advertising and Events, with  more than 40 sub-categories including areas such as TV Advertising, Digital Advertising, Cinema Advertising, Graphic Campaign, Newspapers and Magazines, and Billboards. More than  50 experts from all over the region judged and evaluated the pieces submitted by 19 countries including Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Mexico, Bolivia, the United States, Spain, South Africa and Portugal.

This is the fourth award that the G6 Hospitality's Mexico marketing campaign received since it was launched in March 2016. Previously, the campaign won the 2016 TOTEM Awards' Best Outdoor Campaign, Best Mobility Urban Campaign and Best Overall Marketing Campaign categories, and was overall recognized for the most creative messaging and art design in the outdoor advertising segment.

With more than 50 years of experience in the hotel industry, G6 Hospitality continues with an aggressive plan of expansion of its brands in Latin America. Specifically in Mexico, G6 Hospitality plans to open several hotels in 2017 in cities such as Salamanca, Puerto Vallarta and Queretaro, providing reasonably priced lodging options, serving the interests of local communities, and building on the legacy of an iconic American brand.
