Gastronomy links Crete with Turkey

The Greek Taste Academy and the Arts and Letters Society of Eastern Crete took the initiative to invite 25 residents of Turkey`s Edinir area for a five-day trip focused on discussion of gastronomic issues.

The Lassithi<.> prefecture and local municipalities will accommodate the visitors who will comprise both top industry representatives and traditional local cooks. Lassithi and Edinir share close relations due to various contacts they have had in the past.

Awards will be presented to individuals who have contributed to Greek-Turkish friendship.
