Recent renovations include a new outdoor dining terrace, a redesigned lobby lounge and more.
LAKE GENEVA, WISCONSIN – Grand Geneva Resort & Spa announce it has recently completed a transformation of its indoor lobby space and added outdoor dining to this 1,300 acre AAA Four-Diamond resort. The design project is led by New York City based architecture and design firm, Rotett Studio.
Recently completed additions include a new 60-seat outdoor dining facility, The Landing, which is now open for guests. The new 900 sq. ft. outdoor patio space features a covered pergola, adjustable-height glass railings, overhead fans, and heating, allowing diners and guests to enjoy the space from early spring through late autumn. The resort’s Executive Chef Nelly Buleje launched a new seasonal menu for new terrace space, inspired by the restaurant’s impressive outdoor views.
The resort’s Grand Café has also been reconfigured to include a large central banquette in the dining room, and a separate buffet area inspired by a large open kitchen. This area includes a large stone island that can be used to serve food at breakfast, set for dinner or rented out for private events.
“We used the time during COVID closures and restrictions in a positive way, planning for renovations and redesigns to enhance the guest experience here at the resort,” said Stephen Magnuson, managing director of Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. “We’re excited to open up these experiences for guests and visitors just in time for the beginning of summer.”
The resort’s lobby and lobby lounge have also been newly reimagined as an open-concept space featuring large windows allowing guests to enjoy the natural light and landscape views the resort has to offer.
“The lobby lounge was designed to resemble a modern lodge, with expansive loft-like spaces that incorporate areas for dining, lounging, working and socializing,” explains James Cull, design director and associate principal of Rottet Studio. “This contemporary mixed-approach is similar to how one hosts guests in their own country home or lake house.” The lobby lounge bar has also been extended offering more comfortably spaced seating opposite a large stone fireplace. The furnishings are upholstered in a contemporary palette of neutral fabrics, and natural leathers and woods.
“The natural saddle leather, neutral heavy-weave textiles, and raw timber, give the space an authentically cozy-feeling – perfect for families by the fire, colleagues socializing after a day of meetings, and those looking to spend some time resting in the country.”
Guests and visitors may now enjoy these upgrades as well as resort offerings and programming, award-winning restaurants featuring new menus, two championship golf courses, a WELL Spa + Salon and more.
