The leading British tour operator, Thomson, announced the results of its Thomson Gold Medal Awards 2002. Once again, the Grecotel Group heads the list in Greece with 5 awards.
These awards are based on customer questionnaires and according to the 19,000 British visitors to Grecotels in 2002, four of the hotels were outstanding in their categories:
- Grecotel Creta Palace, Rethymnon, Crete (A la carte)
- Grecotel Rithymna Beach, Rethymnon, Crete (Platinum)
- Grecotel Pella Beach, Hanioti, Halkidiki (Summer Sun)
- Grecotel El Greco, Rethymnon, Crete (Health & Safety Award)
Additionally, the Grecotel Group is awarded with the worldwide Thomson Environment Award 2002.
