Hilton Miami Downtown welcomes Kiri Aitken as new Sales Manager

Kiri Aitken is a seasoned industry sales professional with two business degrees in Hospitality and Marketing from Virginia Tech.

MIAMI – Hilton Miami Downtown announced the appointment of Kiri Aitken as Sales Manager. In her role, Aitken will be responsible for the Southeast group markets and for creating strategies to keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.

Born in Idridgehay, England, Aitken is a seasoned industry sales professional with two business degrees in Hospitality and Marketing from Virginia Tech. She began her career in hospitality at the Longboat Key Club and Resort in Sarasota, Florida. Stints with the Marriott International and Ritz-Carlton brands followed. After gaining experience in the real estate and residential operations, Kiri earned her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Florida.

In 2017, Kiri moved back to Miami as the primary Group Sales Manager for The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour, Miami. In this role, she oversaw all domestic and international group markets and played an instrumental role in increasing group business for the hotel, resulting in higher group room revenue, higher average daily rates and higher meeting planner satisfaction scores.

“I’m so excited to join the stellar team at Hilton Miami Downtown,” said Aitken. “Together, I know we can take the hotel to the next level.”

In her spare time, Kiri loves to travel and spend time with her friends, family and four dogs. She also loves to experiment in the kitchen, baking English meringues and pastries.
