As a seasoned leader and innovator in the hospitality industry, Mike Powers brings more than 17 years of experience, including over a decade-long career with the Hilton brand.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown, the sleek boutique hotel, announces Mike Powers as general manager. In his role, Powers will oversee and lead all aspects of the hotel’s operations, including sales and marketing, food and beverage, revenue management and the rooms division.
“This is the start of a new chapter with IHG and Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown, the brand’s flagship,” said Powers. “I look forward to ushering in a fresh approach that engages with our core audience and attracts new guests through uniquely local programming, offers, and expanded amenities.”
As a seasoned leader and innovator in the hospitality industry, Powers brings more than 17 years of experience, including over a decade-long career with the Hilton brand. While at Hilton, Powers spearheaded multiple initiatives that resulted in accolades, including Hilton’s ‘Genius of the AND’ award and the DoubleTree ‘CARE Cup’ for team commitment to excellence in customer service.
Prior to joining Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown, Powers served as General Manager at the Doubletree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown and San Pedro-Port of Los Angeles. Powers started his career at Hilton Long Beach & Executive Meeting Center in Human Resources before moving onto Hilton Garden Inn El Segundo / LAX.
Powers earned his degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from California State University, Fullerton, which led him to nearly two decades of service in the hotel industry, where his passion and vision have proved transformative.
The Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown offers more than 21,000 square feet of meeting space across 11 venues. It features a lobby-level restaurant, a penthouse cocktail sky lounge, a fitness center, outdoor pool, and a business center.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
