HOTEL INFO is looking for the most l(i)oveable cities/towns in the UK

The international online booking platform HOTEL INFO is now looking for the "most l(i)oveable" small or medium-sized city/town that is not among the usual popular tourist destinations.

LONDON – London, Manchester, Birmingham. Everybody knows these cities. Small wonder, as they represent some of the most popular destinations for business as well as leisure trips. However, there is a different side to the UK as well. Not only big and modern metropolises attract visitors with cultural and historical highlights. There are many medium-sized cities and towns that are definitely worth a visit. The international online booking platform HOTEL INFO is now looking for the “most l(i)oveable” small or medium-sized city/town that is not among the usual popular tourist destinations. The HOTEL INFO editors are convinced that these smaller locations deserve a place in the spotlight as much as the big ones.

That is why HOTEL INFO, for the first time ever, will award the “most l(i)oveable small and medium-sized city/town” of the UK with the Top Travel City Award. You can have your say, and vote for one of the attractive locations, researched and selected by HOTEL INFO editors, until the closing date of the competition on 7th July. All participating British internet users will have an opportunity to win exciting prizes.

For the towns to be selected they had to meet a number of requirements. HOTEL INFO only allowed towns with less than 60,000 inhabitants to ensure that all the smaller towns will have a chance as well. The locations were further required to have tourist attraction, such as a historical town centre or cultural institution.

Hence, not only renowned travel destinations, such as Newquay and Stratford-upon-Avon, but also lesser known small and medium-sized cities/towns made it through to the final round and are waiting for your vote. Bicester in Oxfordshire and Buxton in Derbyshire might not be often mentioned in tourist guides, they are, however, gorgeous old towns that boast a rich history, architecture and museums.

The complete list of participating towns in alphabetical order reads as follows: Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Barrow-in-Furness, Bromsgrove, Buxton, Chorley, Droitwich Spa, Dumfries, Durham, Great Malvern, Horsham, Huntingdon, Kendal, King’s Lynn, Lancaster, Lichfield, Llanelli, Newbury (Berkshire), Newmarket (Suffolk), Newquay, Penzance, Perth, Ramsgate, Ryde, Skegness, St Austell, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stroud and Warwick.
