Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France joins Oetker Collection

The Oetker Collection, one of the most prestigious European luxury hotel companies, has announced that Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France is now part of its Collection of masterpiece hotels.

DUBAI – The management agreement with Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France is a new step in the development of Oetker Collection. The property is a one-of-a-kind hotel reflecting perfectly the unique European heritage of Oetker Collection combined with the charm of the French West Indies and an attention to detail in terms of service that exceeds guest’s expectations.

Located on Flamands Bay, known as one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the world, Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France makes the perfect choice for those in search of an intimate retreat.

Set amidst enchanting tropical gardens overlooking the sea, the 39 rooms, suites and villas are individually decorated by renowned UK designer Penny Morrison. Vintage French fabrics and sheer linens in pale natural tones classically complement the indigenous colors of Saint-Barthélemy.

A comprehensive investment program this autumn will see 12 Garden Bungalows entirely renovated as well as the renewal of the public areas in the main building and reception. “La case de l’Isle” – the resort signature restaurant overlooking Flamands Bay – will also benefit from a new and elegant décor.

The agreement to manage Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France was signed recently between Charlie Vere Nicoll, Chairman and part owner of the property, and Frank Marrenbach, CEO of Oetker Collection.

Frank Marrenbach stated: “We are very excited to add the multiple award winning Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France to our Collection – a great property turned into a very special home by Charlie and Mandie Vere Nicoll. Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France fits perfectly with our portfolio in a prime location with architecture that epitomizes the destination, outstanding individualized service meeting guests’ highest expectations.”

He added: “The way Charlie and Mandie Vere Nicoll became the owners of Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France is very similar to the way the Oetker Family have become owners of their hotels: regular guests, charmed by the destination, enchanted by the place and convinced by the high-end service.”

Talking about the new partnership with Oetker Collection, Charlie Vere Nicoll and Ben Weprin, Chairman of principal investor and shareholder, AJ Capital Partners, said, “We are proud Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France has now become the latest jewel of Oetker Collection. This unique collection of luxury hotels represents the finest European hospitality.

The Oetker Collection has long been associated with style, nobility and efficiency. The hotels are cultural treasures maintained for future generations to experience as each hotel is rooted in the tradition of European Grand Hotel keeping and at the same time dedicated to looking towards the future. Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France is a natural symbol of this vision.”

Didier Le Calvez, President & Managing Director of Le Bristol Paris, who will be overseeing the hotel on behalf of the Oetker Collection, added: “Having had the chance to manage some of the finest hotels in the world such as The Pierre in New York, The Four Seasons Hotel George V and now Le Bristol Paris, I have discovered a lot of similarities with Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France. It is a privilege to have the opportunity today to supervise such a well-established name in the hotel world pursuing its long standing strive for excellence, under the leadership of Christelle Hilpron, General Manager.

The hotel also shares the honor of welcoming many guests in common with the other members of the Oetker Collection, such as Le Bristol Paris and the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera.”
