Newly-constructed San Francisco hotel brings technology and innovation together with solutions from top hospitality technology providers.
STOCKHOLM – ASSA ABLOY Hospitality, along with KEYPR, is announcing the successful implementation of several innovative technologies at Hotel VIA in San Francisco. The first newly-constructed hotel in San Francisco since 2008, Hotel VIA has installed and is using ASSA ABLOY Hospitality's VingCard Essence electronic door locks, Visionline locking system and the ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Mobile Access solution, which is available to Hotel VIA guests through KEYPR's customized mobile concierge app.
"As a new hotel, we wanted to seek out hospitality technologies that supported the contemporary and innovative aesthetic we were trying to create," said Barbara Perzigian, general manager at Hotel VIA. "With these cutting-edge technologies from ASSA ABLOY Hospitality and KEYPR, we have created a one-of-a-kind experience for our guests."
Hotel VIA's 159 rooms are now equipped with ASSA ABLOY Hospitality's VingCard Essence door locks, which feature mobile access compatibility to allow guests to use their smartphones to access their room. With the Visionline wireless locking system, hotel management can remotely monitor and control lock access and activity in the hotel.
"We have worked hard to become leaders around the world in performance and innovation, so it is important to us to bring this expertise and support to the hotels we work with," said Nicolas Aznar, president of ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Americas Group. "It's always our goal to align with hotels and companies that share our vision and are on the same mission to bring technological advancements to the forefront of the hotel industry."
Hotel VIA has also deployed KEYPR, which includes a custom Hotel VIA mobile app, in-room tablets, and its Guest Experience Management System (GEMS®). KEYPR gives staff and management visibility into guest needs throughout their stay, the ability to offer targeted services, and the ease of monitoring operational KPIs. Hotel VIA also has KEYPR's digital marquees installed at guest room doors, which offer workflow management for staff and the ability to add marketing messaging, as well as privacy and service indicators through an integration with INNCOM.
"The team at Hotel VIA had a special tech-forward vision for the guest experience they wanted to provide," said Robert Stevenson, CEO of KEYPR. "This required a collaboration between a group of partners motivated to help our customer bring that to life. We are proud to have partnered with ASSA ABLOY Hospitality and INNCOM to achieve this at such an awesome property."
