Hotel Xcaret Mexico makes grand debut in Cancun/Riviera Maya

New destination resort introduces the all-fun inclusive concept combining luxurious accommodations, first-class amenities, and complimentary access to eight nature parks and tours.

RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO – Experiencias Xcaret, the leader in sustainable tourism and socially responsible recreation in Mexico, announced the grand opening of Hotel Xcaret Mexico, the company’s first five-star hotel that celebrates the best of Mexico and redefines the all-inclusive concept to include the most comprehensive offering in the market. A carefully designed, nature-centric destination just 45 minutes from Cancun International Airport, Hotel Xcaret Mexico introduces the ALL-FUN INCLUSIVE concept that blends luxurious accommodations, first-class service and amenities, as well as complimentary access to eight nature parks and tours.

The grand opening event took place on the starlit evening of December 2nd, when more than 2,000 people came to witness its unveiling. The guests had the opportunity to discover the new hotel through a selection of experiences and happenings that took place in different areas of the hotel, ultimately showcasing the beauty of the local culture. One of the most note-worthy happenings was an exclusive concert by the Symphony Orchestra of Merida, conducted by legendary Mexican director Alondra de la Parra.

  • A Natural Respite: Accommodations

Hotel Xcaret Mexico boasts 900 Mexican-inspired all-view suites that feature balconies with vistas of the tranquil beach, private coves, flowing river and lush gardens. Among the hotel’s spaces are two special retreats: Casa Fuego, an adults-only oasis with private spaces and amazing vistas and Casa Agua that presents a more holistic experience and caters to those looking for a more tranquil setting. Casa Agua is also positioned near the Spa and Wellness center, providing direct access. Guests can choose from a Suite, Junior Suite, Swim-up Suite or Master Suite. All rooms have been beautifully designed with authentic, locally made Mexican decor and accents/furniture. Guests will also appreciate premium, in-room amenities such as special blend of Nespresso-compatible coffee capsules by local Cafe del Cielo, inspired by the wonders of Xcaret, and only available to hotel guests.

  • Authentically Crafted Culinary Journeys

Further enhancing the experience at Hotel Xcaret Mexico is its exquisite culinary offering imagined by local Mexican Chef Orlando Trejo. The 10 distinct restaurants include La Trajinera, La Cantina Mexican Steak House, Ha’, El Mercado, Chibali, Teatro Del Rio, Xin-Gao, Fuego Restaurant, Snack Bar – La Plays and Las Cuevas. Guests can also choose from eight different bars: Lobby Bar, three Pool Bars, Trajinera Swim Up Bar, La Cantina (adults only), Ha’, Xin-Gao, Rooftop Bar Fuego and the Wellness/Spa Bar. The concept at Ha’ restaurant is led by Michelin star Chef Carlos Gaytan, who was also a “Top Chef” contestant. Gaytan’s vision for the gastronomy is personalized experiences that tell stories. “We are not just going to serve meals or dinners, we want to generate a personal relationship with each person and transform their lives through a story our dishes will tell,” explained Gaytan.  

  • Muluk Spa & Wellness

The Muluk Spa & Wellness is a mystical and natural sanctuary set among the river and jungle. Offering complete relaxation through holistic experiences, guests are catered to with a broad selection of wellness philosophies called Journeys. Treatments are done in cabins set within natural rock caves. Among the services include Temazcal, biodynamic signature amenities, dermo aesthetics, hydrotherapy circuit, salt flotation tank and much more.

  • Earth Conscious Design

  • Destination Xcaret

Hotel Xcaret is the beginning of an ambitious 10-year plan for Destination Xcaret, an innovative tourism development that will span more than 914 acres and will have 6,000 guestrooms at its completion. Plans also include a stadium that will be able to accommodate 12,000 spectators, a convention center, a shopping center and culinary destination called Pueblo del Rio.
