Hotelbeds launches APItude, its new hotel distribution API

APItude is designed to support the development of new travel websites or mobile apps, enhancing the developer experience.

LONDON – Global B2B bedbank Hotelbeds announced the launch of APItude, its new hotel distribution API, designed to make the integration process between systems, websites and applications easier and faster. Hotelbeds’ new API is created to support the development of new travel websites or mobile apps, enhancing the developer experience.

Hotelbeds’ announcement has been made at World Travel Market 2015, the leading global event for the travel industry.

PItude is the result of Hotelbeds’ new focus on simplifying the booking cycle across the entire travel value chain. Under the banner of “We love simple”, the bedbank is focussed on the benefits to the travel industry of fusing technological innovation with simplicity in order to adapt to new clients and consumers’ needs.

The new API, which is 50% lighter and 30% faster, supports the development of new travel websites or mobile apps providing easy and instant access to 75,000 hotels. In addition, APItude is easy to understand even without specialist technical knowledge, which allows the client to be involved during the integration process.

Integrated by three different APIs – the BookingAPI, the CacheAPI and the ContentAPI- APItude allows the customer to control the whole booking process with only one application, presents multilingual and detailed information regarding the available hotels featured in the database and provides direct access to pricing and availability of hotel rooms from the Hotelbeds database.

APItude also offers a wide range of functionalities, such as geo localization, keywords or advanced filter searches designed to help the customer increase sales of travel products. Moreover, APItude can be custom made depending on the client’s needs, is easy to integrate and 100% mobile responsive.

Carlos Munoz, Managing Director Hotelbeds, commented: “We are very proud of APItude. It is the fastest and lightest hotel distribution API in the market. APItude is the future of booking systems. The way users search and book is changing forever, and consumers expect the process to be fast and easy no matter where they are or the device they use”.
