Hoteles Casas y Palacios de Espana: Demand for hotels and personalisation has grown, SiteMinder was a turning point

Hoteles Casas y Palacios de Espana today has four four-star and three-star properties, including ‘Las Casas de la Juderia’ in Seville and Cordoba, ‘La Casa de la Trinidad’ in Granada, and ‘El Monasterio de San Francisco’ in Cordoba.

CASAS Y PALACIOS, LONDON, UK – On the back of a record summer for total spend by international tourists, Spain’s Hoteles Casas y Palacios de Espana, part of Intergroup Hoteles, has revealed its occupancy and average daily rate have increased by fifteen percent this year. The iconic hotel group says the increases are a result of the greater international demand for hotels in Spain and highly-personalised service, as well as the adoption of SiteMinder’s Channel Manager, the global hotel industry’s leading cloud platform for online room inventory and dynamic rate management.

Jose Morilla, commercial director of Hoteles Casas y Palacios de Espana, says, “The demand from overseas, for rooms in Spain, has definitely grown this year. The situations happening in other travel destinations, such as Turkey and parts of Africa, have been a big reason for that demand, but it is also due to the image Spain has grown again as an attractive traditional destination. This has provided great value to all hotels in the country.”

According to Mr Morilla, Hoteles Casas y Palacios de Espana is particularly attractive to the modern traveller seeking a highly-personalised guest experience.

“Our type of hotel, with its more personalised care and service, exceeds the concept of the ‘boutique hotel’. It is in high demand, as are other establishments looking to move away from the conventionality of many hotels. For our customers, the value we provide can often be one of the reasons for their entire trip.”

Mr Morilla says the integration of SiteMinder’s Channel Manager with the group’s property management system marked a real “turning point” in the way online bookings are managed.

“SiteMinder’s Channel Manager has given us direct access to new distribution channels through which we can now sell our over-300 rooms. And best of all, the updates from our property management system to those channels works two ways – in real-time – so we can optimise and sell our rooms right up to the last minute without any fear of being overbooked.”
