Hotels.com and Olympique de Marseille announce official partnership

Hotels.com to become the Official Accommodation Partner to Ligue 1 club. Partnership to run until June 2022 and commences immediately.

MARSEILLE / LONDON – Hotels.com and Olympique de Marseille announced an Official Partnership, bringing together the leading accommodation experts with the leading European and Ligue 1 side. The partnership commences immediately running until June 2022 and will see Hotels.com become the “Official Accommodation Partner of Olympique de Marseille” for the next three years.

Underpinning the strategic partnership, Hotels.com has released new travel data revealing that Marseille is the fastest growing domestic destination, with demand for hotels up 25% year-on-year vs other key French cities including Lyon (up 15%) and Bordeaux (20%). An upward trend which also saw an 10% increase in demand for the city in 2018 vs 2017. Whilst Marseille is mostly popular with French people, international demand is also growing. Hotels.com has seen demand spike for visitors from the US (+25% year-on-year), the UK (25%), Korea (15%) and Brazil (45%).

As part of the agreement, Hotels.com will have their logo emblazoned on both the home, away and third kit shorts of all senior teams competing in Ligue 1 matches and will have a branded presence in stadium including, perimeter boards, jumbotron and across the club’s social media channels and email marketing database.

Olympique de Marseille joins an impressive growing Hotels.com football sponsorship roster, including Tottenham Hotspur FC and the UEFA Champions League.
