Indie Campers expansion: Opens new location in Manchester

2021 will also see Indie Campers further expand its UK fleet to now feature its top selling model, the Nomad.

MANCHESTER – Indie Campers are building for the road ahead this year. The eight-year-old company, that runs a fleet of 2000 campervans and motorhomes for hire across the UK and 13 other European countries, is announcing new investments in the UK, with the opening of a new branch in Manchester, along with a further expansion of its fleet. The new vehicles and European locations (Manchester – England; Nantes and Toulouse – France; Hannover, Stuttgart, Leipzig and Essen – Germany; Malmo – Sweden) are available right away for bookings starting from May onwards.

Following a record-breaking year for the campervan hire industry regarding domestic travel (Indie Campers saw a 314% YoY rise in domestic demand in the UK), the opening of a new branch in Manchester will expand the company’s geographical coverage of British territory, that already included London and Edinburgh.

2021 will also see Indie Campers further expand its UK fleet to now feature its top selling model, the Nomad. Just like the Atlas model that the company already rents in the UK, the Nomad van comes with an integrated bathroom, shower and kitchen, fit for 4 travellers. The investment with this expansion represents a 138% increase in the company’s fleet in the UK, attempting to cater to the needs and wishes of British travel enthusiasts, as campervan domestic travel is expected to keep booming in 2021.

“Manchester is the perfect location for our new depot in England, as it has close proximity to some of the most trendy road trip destinations in the UK: the Midlands, Yorkshire and the North West. As we expect the interest in staycations to continue throughout 2021, this will be an extremely attractive destination for british travellers” claims Pernille Hembre, Indie Campers’ Marketing Lead for the UK.
