Italy’s Atahotels entrusts worldwide sales and marketing of full 6,000-room portfolio to Pegasus Solutions

19 properties in Italy’s most beautiful locations switch from private label to “UI” chain code.

DALLAS – Italy’s Atahotels has dropped its own chain code and entrusted the worldwide sales and marketing of its full 6,000-room portfolio to Pegasus Solutions. The nearly 50-year-old brand’s luxury, ubiquitous throughout Italy at its 19 properties, will now enjoy a higher profile among global travel buyers through Pegasus Connect+ Premium under the “UI” chain code.

“For years, Atahotels has defined quality made in Italy,” said Roberto Franchi, chief executive officer of Atahotels. “Today, we set global trends in the hospitality business, blending tradition and innovation to offer the ideal solution for business and leisure travelers. Pegasus provides this same blend of proven tradition with forward-thinking innovation, which will help ensure our properties are not just available, but also prominent to travelers on the global stage.”

Atahotels operates six four- and five-star hotels in Milan, Rome, Turin and Varese aimed at business and leisure travelers. Additionally, the company offers eight residences in Milan located in the main areas for business and leisure, like celebrated hotspot Corso Como. Finally, Atahotels’ six resorts in Sicily, Sardinia, Trentino, Aosta Valley, and Tuscany offer relaxation, sport and wellness stays against some of the world’s most picturesque backdrops.

“Atahotels is distinguished for the high level of specialization it provides guests, and also has a real need to increase awareness of its brand globally,” said Alexis Dobbelaere, senior vice president, global sales, Europe for Pegasus Solutions. “With Pegasus, they will receive the international sales solutions and valuable consortia relationships that will result in bookings, so that the hotels can continue to deliver the world-class hospitality they are known for.”

With Pegasus Connect+ Premium, Atahotels’ 19 locations will receive RVNG, the only central reservations system built to manage selling hotel rooms in the Internet age. Properties will also enjoy one seamless connection to the four global distribution systems (GDSs), and more than 1,000 travel websites. Atahotels will also receive distribution consulting services, PegasusView Market Performance business intelligence, access to the Pegasus Sales Connections automated sales tool, and in-person visits on their behalf to corporate and TMC offices worldwide.
