Global win for Sustainability, Innovation and Excellence

TBILISI – Leading the hospitality industry, Kerten Hospitality, a mixed-use lifestyle operator, has been awarded a global recognition for its commitment to Innovation, Sustainability and Service Excellence in lifestyle hospitality. UK’s Global Brands Magazine, one of the largest brand publications in the world, has awarded the organisation: Most Innovative Lifestyle Hospitality Group – Middle East 2021. This annual accolade is given to the organisation for standing out among the industry leaders demonstrating exceptional service and unique vision.

In Georgia, the Group is opening a lifestyle destination that aims to become Tbilisi’s art and culinary center of the city with The House Hotel Old Tbilisi being the key attraction point with local story narratives and curated events.

Led by Antony Doucet, Kerten Hospitality’s Brand and Marketing Director and the soul of the Group’s Community Building roadmap, the team on the ground has already established roots and a close-knit network with the local community, working hand in hand with the property’s owner Jemal Inaishvilli, who also happens to be one of the largest collectors of contemporary art in the country.

Aligned with the Group’s ethos to create transformational collaborations and foster entrepreneurship that supports the neighbourhood value chain, whilst connecting the local and international communities, the Group’s key lifestyle footprint success is attributed to the curation of meaningful connections and memorable experiences for visitors and residents alike. Jointly with the visionary owner, Kerten Hospitality is building 3 unique destinations with a Purpose.

For instance, each room in The House Hotel Old Tbilisi has been hand-painted by Musya Qeburia, a contemporary Georgian artist who has illustrated a different character on each of the walls allowing guests to experience a more immersive exploration of the character’s story both online and offline. A brand-new food concept in the property will add on to the culinary explorations in the city. This is the first mixed-use project opening in the country followed by 2 other signature developments:

  • The House Hotel Kvareli in the wine area of Kakheti and Ouspace mixed-use project in Tbilisi’s business hub Vake.
  • The House Hotel Kvareli, part of the Kvareli Estate resort, is a unique lifestyle destination in its own right which aims to attract and upskill the local, regional and national creative community, to inspire creative collaborations and to encourage repeated visits to the destination where the transformative power of arts is cultivated. The standout features: an adjacent Vineyard, an Eco-farm and an all-year-long art-focused programme led by the desire to create relationships between the visitors.

Additionally, the entity that has been involved in the master planning and the facility strategy and planning of the Louvre Abu Dhabi are the consultants for the Kvareli Art Estate – the property’s contemporary art museum.

Influenced by its scenic location and the multiple building components, the solutions of the architectural and interior design aim to turn the place into one of the most distinguished and memorable destinations with minimalist yet sophisticated room design, and common spaces that will be filled with elements based on their function. Every detail in this property is selected with great care and understanding – all related to each other in different visual or functional aspects combining natural materials, accented furniture and lighting that highlights the space.

Creating an ecosystem around art, entrepreneurship and immersive events are at the heart of the Project in Vake which is centred around Ouspace – Kerten Hospitality’s collaborative social Hub Concept that is adapted to the local environment in every project and which will help redefine the future workplaces in the city once it opens doors in 2023.

On the occasion of the global recognition Marloes Knippenberg, CEO of Kerten Hospitality said: “We are thrilled to have been recognised as a leading lifestyle hospitality player.
