LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort unveils million-dollar meeting and event space makeover

Ideal for innovative events, distinguished meetings and luxurious weddings, the 5,000 sq. ft. Vanderbilt Ballroom and 3,045 sq. ft. Bayview Ballroom have been remodeled with a sophisticated sunny-chic design, embodying the essence of Florida and its diverse landscapes with natural earth tones and dust wood cypress finish throughout.

NAPLES, FLA. – The only true beachfront, boutique resort on Florida’s Gulf Coast, LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort – part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts collection – is thrilled to unveil the million-dollar overhaul to their world-class meeting and event space will be complete Sept. 5, 2014. With extensive enhancements to both the Vanderbilt and Bayview Ballrooms and Terraces, community spaces surrounding the conference center, as well as the restrooms and famous “lantern lane,” no details were spared revamping the resort’s extravagant event space, boasting spectacular waterfront views, while protecting the legacy and charm of this luxury beachfront resort.

Other elegant improvements include custom bent-glass chandeliers to go along with a complete LED lighting package, providing ambient light along with desired effects that can adapt to any meeting or wedding atmosphere, in addition to new carpet, air walls and one-of-a-kind, hand picked art created exclusively for LaPlaya by renowned Southwest Florida based photographer, R.J. Wiley.

Behind the scenes, meeting planners and event-goers enjoy cutting-edge technology, including Janus digital displays, indoor/outdoor sound system, Sonos touch screen sound interface systems and a comprehensive Lutron lighting system, as well as an upgraded wifi network and wireless internet allowing for uninterrupted connectivity.

Overlooking the picturesque Vanderbilt Bay with its multi-million dollar mansions, LaPlaya’s outdoor Terraces – Vanderbilt (2,000 sq. ft.) and Bayview (1,600 sq. ft.) – now showcase rich cypress wood ceilings accompanied by custom furniture, billowing drapery, beautiful lanterns and fans devised solely for the resort, as well as LCD display screens and panoramic bay views – perfect for cocktail or wedding receptions. Upgrades to the outdoor verandahs were selected not only with the intent of improving each guest’s experience, but to also tie-in with the unique design elements that embody the local culture of Naples.

In addition to the Ballroom and Terrace enrichments, renovations to the surrounding restrooms and famous “Lantern Lane” have also been made. The remodeled restrooms include 24″ x 24″ custom Italian Calcutta ceramic tile flooring, electric lighted mirrors, Calcutta quartz countertops, touch-less appliances, as well as stylish antique jade coloring, while “Lantern Lane” boasts flowing sheer drapery panels, as well as new cushions and plush fabrics to existing outdoor furniture.

“We are excited to elevate the luxury experience for our group guests with the head-to-toe makeover of our meeting and event space,” said Ron Vuy, General Manager of LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. “We provide the highest level of customization and flexibility to each guest and every group, and the renovations allow us further extend an unparalleled level of quality. Whether meeting for business or tying the knot, all guests will appreciate the renewed grandeur these enhancements bring to the resort.”

LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort, part of the Noble House Hotels & Resorts collection, is the only true beachfront, boutique resort on Florida’s Gulf Coast, rivaling the elan of South Beach. With a coveted spot on the Conde Nast Traveler “Gold List,” as well as being ranked no. 12 on their “Best U.S. Resorts List,” the stylishly simple escape is situated on private, sweeping white sands and gently lapping turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico, nestled next to the picturesque Vanderbilt Bay, and features crisp blue cabanas alongside four cascading rock-waterfall pools, beach fire-pits, thatched roof tiki bar, beach butlers, David Leadbetter Golf Academy complete with an exclusive 18-hole Bob Cupp golf course, exotic SpaTerre, delectable oceanside fine dining at BALEEN, stunning sunsets and more.
