The five star Le Meridien<.> Limassol Spa and Resort has announced its plans to become a self-contained luxury resort exclusively available for residents, the first hotel on the island of Cyprus<.> with a `Residents Only` policy. This will come into effect from April 2003 and will provide guests with total exclusivity in terms of the hotel and its many facilities. Selected international tour operators as well as conference and incentive organisers have been advised about the new structure.



By introducing the `Residents Only` concept, Le Meridien Limassol Spa and Resort aims to set new standards for quality hotels on the island. There are excellent examples of hotels in other parts of the world that have achieved this combination of luxury, service and facilities plus entertainment. Cyprus is associated with quality and the owning company together with the team members of this unique resort have worked carefully at expanding and embellishing their product so that it can meet with the expectations of the most discerning traveller.



The hotel has a total of 331 rooms, garden villas and suites. The temperature controlled bedrooms in the main building which are the largest on the island have just been refurbished with `Kenzo` fabrics and parquet wood floor. They are also equipped with all modern amenities and some have interconnecting doors. No less than 39 have been selected and designed as Deluxe Sea and Pool View rooms, ideal for families with children. The hotel also has rooms that are suitable for the handicapped.



The Royal Spa Wing which was completed in 2001 is for adults only and continues to offer a selection of outstanding rooms and suites. In the main building the hotel has two amazing Presidential Suites, eight Imperial and Royal Spa Suites. Additionally there are also 43 Garden Villas and 13 Royal Garden Suites.



There are six excellent theme restaurants which provide great variety, the most recent additions is the Japanese and Sushi experience, the Kojima elegantly positioned in the centre of the inland lagoon. A new entertainment piazza with a stage for professional acts will add to the variety. There are also six bars with the newest addition `Captain Cook` a traditional English pub!



The indoor health and fitness club over looks the sea and has all the latest equipment plus a heated indoor pool, saunas, whirlpool and steam bath. The sea water lagoon and pier are available for the hotel`s Water Sports Centre for scuba diving with PADI instructors, water skiing, windsurfing, paragliding, snorkelling, canoeing, jet skiing and sailing with the hotel`s own yacht.



The hotel`s unique Penguin Village is dedicated to the care of 3 to 12 year olds. This purpose built club offers a mini football pitch, bouncing castle, swimming pool, mini amphitheatre, climbing fences, table tennis, basketball, badminton and volleyball courts and the well trained staff to make the day even more special and provide parents with complete peace of mind.



A shopping arcade boasts a choice of boutiques offering the latest in fashion designer clothes and shoes.



Le Spa



This unique indoor and outdoor thalassotherapy spa, is the only one of its kind in the Eastern Mediterranean. Le Spa features four outdoor seawater pools, each with a different salinity content and temperatures. There is a wonderful domed Hammam, that can accommodate up to 25 people, two saunas, as well as a heated indoor seawater pool with a negative flow section, two heated thalasso indoor pools plus an Algae therapy centre with 32 treatment rooms with `Philippe Starck` design and four relaxation areas. Treatments start from a simple manicure, to an algae wrap and a hot stone massage plus lots more in between.



Business facilities



The hotel has always been at the forefront of providing guests rooms with facilities for internet access and email. It also boasts a great selection of function rooms for groups of 20 to 600. Modern audio-visual equipment plus the support services of the Business Centre make Le Meridien the first choice for many groups, conferences and incentives, not least the individual business travellers.
